Nous sommes à la recherche d’une personne organisée, rigoureuse et proactive, ayant de l’expérience dans des industries de services ou créatives (une expérience en agence numérique est un atout !), pour rejoindre notre équipe chez Evolving Web.

Le ou la gestionnaire des finances sera responsable de la santé financière et de la stratégie de l’agence, en veillant à l’exactitude des rapports financiers, à l’efficacité des opérations, aux prévisions et à la conformité. Ce rôle exige à la fois une réflexion stratégique et une gestion financière concrète, et convient idéalement à une personne ayant de l’expérience dans des environnements similaires axés sur les services.

Dans votre rôle de gestionnaire des finances, vous serez responsable de :

Stratégie et planification financières

  • Diriger les prévisions financières, la budgétisation et la planification à long terme en lien avec les objectifs de croissance de l’agence.
  • Suivre les revenus, les marges et la rentabilité par projet/client.
  • Analyser les indicateurs clés (taux d’utilisation, taux facturables, performance des projets).
  • Conseiller la direction sur les implications financières des décisions stratégiques.

Comptabilité et rapports

  • Préparer des rapports financiers précis et en temps opportun, incluant l’état des résultats, le bilan et les flux de trésorerie.
  • Assurer la conformité aux réglementations et exigences de déclaration financière locales, provinciales et fédérales.
  • Superviser les clôtures mensuelles et annuelles, les rapports et l’analyse des écarts.
  • Mettre en place et/ou optimiser des outils et systèmes afin d’améliorer la visibilité financière et l’efficacité (ex. : suivi du temps de projet, tableaux de bord financiers).

Finance opérationnelle

  • Gérer et réviser les dépenses opérationnelles courantes, la paie et les paiements aux sous-traitants.
  • Examiner les notes de frais.
  • Effectuer la tenue de livres et les rapports généraux.
  • Collaborer avec les chefs de projet et les responsables de départements afin d’améliorer les processus et l’allocation des ressources.
  • Gérer les relations financières avec les fournisseurs, les sous-traitants et les clients.

Profil recherché

  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité, finance ou domaine connexe (le titre CPA est un atout).
  • Plus de 5 ans d’expérience en finance/comptabilité ; une expérience en agence numérique ou en services professionnels est fortement privilégiée.
  • Bonne connaissance de la fiscalité au Canada et au Québec (la connaissance des États-Unis est un atout).
  • Excellente maîtrise de Google Sheets ou d’outils similaires.
  • Intérêt pour l’amélioration continue des processus et l’exploration d’outils (ex. : ChatGPT).
  • Maîtrise de logiciels comptables (ex. : Xero, Dex) et d’outils de gestion de projets (Redmine, Float, Notion, etc.).
  • Excellentes compétences analytiques et sens des affaires.
  • Esprit collaboratif.
  • Bonne compréhension des principes comptables généralement reconnus (PCGR) et des exigences de conformité financière.
  • Connaissance de la comptabilité par projet et de la reconnaissance des revenus.
  • De solides compétences en communication en français et en anglais. L’anglais est requis puisque ce poste implique une collaboration régulière avec des clients et des membres de l’équipe situés à l’extérieur du Québec qui communiquent principalement en anglais. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive professional with experience in service-based or creative industries; digital agency experience is a plus, to join our team at Evolving Web.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the agency’s financial health and strategy, ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient operations, forecasting, and compliance. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on financial management and is ideally suited to someone with experience in similar service-based environments.

We are a growing company working on a wide variety of projects, which means you’ll enjoy a diverse and stimulating range of responsibilities.

In your role as Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

Financial Strategy and Planning

  • Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning in line with the agency’s growth objectives.
  • Track revenue, margins, and profitability by project and client.
  • Analyze key metrics, including utilization rates, billable rates, and project performance.
  • Advise leadership on the financial implications of strategic decisions.

Accounting and Reporting

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations and financial reporting requirements.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closings, reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Implement and/or optimize tools and systems to improve financial visibility and efficiency, such as project time tracking and financial dashboards.

Operational Finance

  • Manage and review day-to-day operating expenses, payroll, and payments to subcontractors.
  • Review expense reports.
  • Perform bookkeeping and general reporting.
  • Collaborate with project managers and department leads to improve processes and resource allocation.
  • Manage financial relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a CPA designation is an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting; experience in a digital agency or professional services environment is strongly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Canadian and Quebec taxation; knowledge of U.S. taxation is an asset.
  • Excellent proficiency with Google Sheets or similar tools.
  • An interest in continuously improving processes and exploring new tools, such as ChatGPT.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero and Dext, as well as project management tools such as Redmine, Float, and Notion.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong business acumen.
  • A collaborative mindset.
  • Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of project-based accounting and revenue recognition.
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English. English is required because this role involves regular collaboration with clients and team members located outside Quebec who primarily communicate in English.
