Job Role: Graphic Designer/Tech Pack Specialist (Apparel & Footwear Design)

Compensation range: $1,500 USD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the client’s US business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday, EST) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian and US companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: Our client is an established international footwear, bags, headwear, and apparel business working with retailers, wholesalers, and private-label brands. They specialise in developing commercially focused products and working closely with manufacturing partners to bring new designs to market.

Role Overview: We’re looking for a Graphic Designer/Tech Pack Specialist with hands-on experience in apparel and/or footwear design, bags, and headwear. You’ll be responsible for turning concepts and brand direction into polished designs and accurate, factory-ready tech packs.

The right person has a good eye for fashion, understands product development, and can work independently after initial training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create apparel , footwear, bags, headwear, and accessories designs, graphics, and production artwork.
  • Develop detailed tech packs, including measurements, specifications, materials, colours, and artwork.
  • Prepare clear, accurate files for factory production.
  • Make revisions based on samples, feedback, and production requirements.
  • Ensure designs follow the client’s brand direction and quality standards.
  • Manage assigned projects and deliverables within agreed timelines.
  • Keep design files and product specifications organised and up to date.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in apparel, footwear, fashion, or product design.
  • Strong experience creating tech packs for manufacturing.
  • Good understanding of measurements, specifications, materials, and product construction.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design tools.
  • Strong fashion sense and attention to detail.
  • Able to understand brand direction and work with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and ability to manage multiple deliverables.
  • Experience working with factories or overseas manufacturers is a plus.

Other Notes:

  • This is a deliverable-focused remote role.
  • Strict working-hour overlap is not required, although some availability for communication and quick responses is expected.
  • Projects will generally be assigned with a 1–2 day turnaround, depending on the workload.
  • This is intended to be a long-term opportunity, with potential to grow alongside the client’s expanding Philippine-based team.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
