The posting

Description

BlueTuskr is a full-service e-commerce growth agency built exclusively for e-commerce brands. We combine paid media, owned media, creative, and analytics to help our clients scale profitably. Our team is made up of specialists who are deeply invested in their craft — and in the success of the brands they serve.

This isn't a "jack of all trades" environment. We hire people who are exceptional at what they do, then give them the resources and autonomy to do it well.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Graphic Designer and Video Editor who creates with conversion in mind. You know that a beautiful email that doesn't get clicks isn't finished yet, and that a product page is a sales tool first. This is a hands-on role for someone who has spent real time designing for e-commerce brands — emails, landing pages, website sections, and social/ad creative — and can explain exactly why each design choice was made.

You'll design across a portfolio of e-commerce clients, working closely with our email, CRO, Shopify development, and paid media teams. You'll also use Claude and other AI tools as a real part of your workflow — to move faster on ideation, variations, and production, without sacrificing quality or brand consistency.

This role starts part-time at 15 hours/week, with real room to grow as your client roster and responsibilities expand.

What You'll Own

Email & Retention Design

  • Design campaign and automated flow emails (newsletters, welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back, etc.) that are on-brand and built to drive clicks and revenue
  • Design mobile-first, with clear hierarchy, scannable layouts, and strong calls to action
  • Prepare email-ready files and specs (image slicing, live text vs. image text, alt text, dark mode considerations) for clean builds in Klaviyo and other email platforms

Web Creative & CRO Support

  • Design landing pages, homepage, and collection page sections, product page (PDP) modules, banners, and promotional assets for Shopify stores
  • Partner with the CRO team to design test variations based on data, heatmaps, and hypotheses — not just personal taste
  • Hand off dev-ready Figma files to our web developers, with desktop and mobile layouts, organized layers, and clear specs

Social & Ad Creative

  • Design static social and paid ad creative for Meta, TikTok, and other channels
  • Create ad variations and iterations to support creative testing
  • Video editing for social and ad use (resizing, trimming, captions, simple motion) where needed

Process & Quality

  • Follow each client's brand guidelines closely, and flag gaps or inconsistencies when guidelines are missing or unclear
  • Apply design and e-commerce best practices (accessibility, contrast, legibility, load-friendly assets, platform specs)
  • Present work with a clear rationale — why this layout, this hierarchy, this CTA — to internal teams and, when needed, clients
  • Take feedback well, turn revisions around quickly, and keep work moving across multiple accounts and deadlines
  • Use Claude and other AI tools to speed up concepting, copy-to-layout exploration, asset variations, and repetitive production tasks — while following client confidentiality and our AI use guidelines

Who You Are

Skills get you in the door. These are the qualities that make you right for this role:

  • An exceptional designer with a strong eye for layout, typography, and color — your portfolio speaks for itself
  • Conversion-minded — you think about what the customer needs to see, feel, and do next, not just what looks good
  • Detail-obsessed — you catch the misaligned element, the off-brand color, and the typo before anyone else does
  • A clear communicator who can explain the reasoning behind design choices and keeps the team updated without being chased
  • Excellent at managing your time — you can juggle multiple clients and deadlines in a remote, async environment without dropping the ball
  • AI-curious and AI-capable — you already use tools like Claude in your workflow and are excited to find new ways to work smarter
  • Adaptable — you can shift between very different brand styles and still make each one feel right.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days:

  • You've learned the brand guidelines and design systems for your assigned client accounts
  • You're consistently delivering email, web, and social designs on time with minimal revision rounds
  • You've handed off at least one web project or CRO test variation to our Shopify dev team with clean, dev-ready files
  • You've built AI into your workflow in a way that measurably speeds up production
  • Internal teams trust your work and your reasoning, and come to you with ideas, not just requests

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 2–4 years of e-commerce digital design experience (email, website, social, etc.)
  • A portfolio showing e-commerce work — ideally with context on goals and results
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Hands-on experience using Claude and/or other AI tools in a design workflow
  • Experience designing for the web and supporting website creative (landing pages, site sections, PDPs)
  • Strong understanding of conversion-focused design and e-commerce best practices
  • Proven ability to follow and apply brand guidelines across multiple brands
  • Strong written and spoken English for async communication with a U.S.-based team

Strong Differentiators:

  • Video editing skills (Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar)
  • Experience designing for Klaviyo or other email platforms
  • Familiarity with Shopify themes and how designs get built
  • Experience designing A/B test variations or working with CRO data
  • Paid social ad creative experience (Meta, TikTok)
  • Agency background preferred

Benefits

This role is fully remote.

Time Commitment and Availability

  • Hours: 15 hours/week to start, with the opportunity to scale up as the role and client roster grow
  • Availability: Between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. EST

Compensation

$20–25 USD/hour, based on experience and portfolio. This is a part-time, remote contractor role starting at 15 hours/week. Video editing experience is a strong plus and is factored into the rate.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
