Lead a Home. Develop a Team. Make a Difference Every Day.

The Arc of Ocean County is looking for a Group Home Manager to lead a Community Living residence in Brick, New Jersey, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

As the person responsible for the day-to-day direction of the home, you'll have a direct influence on the environment individuals live in and the team that supports them. You'll lead and develop staff, coordinate services, oversee operations, and make sure the residence remains a safe, welcoming place where individuals can exercise choice, build independence, and work toward their goals.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, solving problems, organizing moving parts, and building a strong team—while knowing that the work ultimately comes back to the quality of life of the people who call the residence home.

What You'll Lead

Create a Strong Residential Environment

  • Direct the daily operations of an assigned Community Living residence while maintaining quality, person-centered services.
  • Establish a home environment that promotes safety, respect, independence, and individual choice.

  • Coordinate healthcare, behavioral services, therapeutic supports, and community-based resources.
  • Encourage individuals to participate in meaningful employment, education, recreation, and community opportunities.
  • Maintain effective relationships with families, guardians, support coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members.

Keep Services Safe & Compliant

  • Oversee required records, medication systems, communication logs, and program reports.

  • Take on additional leadership responsibilities that support the success of Residential Services.

The Difference You'll Make

A residential manager has the opportunity to influence two things every day: the experience of the individuals who live in the home and the experience of the staff who support them.

By creating structure, developing employees, addressing challenges, and keeping individual goals at the center of decisions, you'll help create a residence where people can feel at home while working toward greater independence.

You'll also have the support of a collaborative leadership team and opportunities to continue developing your career within The Arc of Ocean County.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
