The posting

We are seeking an experienced Hand Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The role involves providing specialized surgical and clinical care for conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and upper extremity.

Candidates with UK CCT, Western Qualified, American Board, Australian Board, and South African Board qualifications are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of hand, wrist, and upper-extremity conditions.
  • Perform complex hand and upper-extremity surgical procedures.
  • Manage traumatic injuries, fractures, tendon and nerve injuries, and ligament disorders.
  • Perform reconstructive and microsurgical procedures where applicable.
  • Treat carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, nerve compression, and other hand conditions.
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up.
  • Coordinate with physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, radiologists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and follow patient safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, or equivalent, with advanced fellowship/training in Hand Surgery.
  • Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
  • Strong experience in hand, wrist, and upper-extremity surgery.
  • Experience in trauma, reconstruction, tendon and nerve repair is preferred.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
