About Catalyst Metals Limited

Catalyst Metals Limited (ASX: CYL) is an Australian gold mining and development company focused on creating long-term value through sustainable growth.

Our flagship asset, the Plutonic Gold Belt in Central Western Australia, currently produces approximately 85koz of gold annually and is positioned for significant growth over the coming years. Through resource expansion, mine development and operational optimisation, we're building a long-term future across multiple mining centres feeding a central processing hub.

This is an opportunity to join a business where your expertise will have a tangible impact on operational outcomes and future growth.

About the Role

If you're a HD Fitter who values well-maintained equipment and a properly resourced workshop, this is an opportunity to join a maintenance team that's set up to succeed.

Our underground fleet includes modern Sandvik development and production rigs, load and haul equipment, Normet charge rigs, Volvo ITs and ancillary underground mining equipment, providing exposure to a diverse and technically advanced fleet.

We operate from a purpose-built six-bay steel workshop complete with overhead cranes and a service pit, supported by a dedicated maintenance store carrying more than $4 million in parts and consumables. With separate light vehicle and boilermaker facilities located nearby, we've invested heavily in our maintenance infrastructure so you can focus on quality maintenance and continuous improvement – not chasing parts or working around limitations.

Beyond our main operation, satellite deposits across the Plutonic Gold Belt are creating opportunities to broaden your experience, contribute to the development of new maintenance practices and support a growing underground operation.

In a long-life operation with a growing footprint, this is a stable and professional environment where your trade skills won't just be valued – they'll help shape the way we operate.

Requirements

  • Perform preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on mobile mining equipment including underground & surface fleets
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic faults across the underground & surface fleets

  • Complete scheduled maintenance inspections and component change-outs
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability programs
  • Work closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to maximise equipment availability
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety standards, procedures and legislative requirements

  • Ability to work autonomously and work to plan

Why Catalyst?

FIFO isn't for everyone — it requires commitment and time away from home. That's why we place strong emphasis on creating a supportive team culture, approachable leadership and an environment where people work hard, back each other in, and still find time to have a laugh and enjoy what site has to offer.

We offer:

  • 8:6 / 7:7 or 2:2 dayshift and nightshift roster promoting genuine work-life balance
  • Private health cover for employees
  • Quarterly bonus
  • Opportunity to contribute beyond your core role and influence how we operate
  • Supportive and collaborative site leadership team
  • Ongoing OEM training, development and internal progression opportunities
  • Exposure to a growing and expanding underground operation

Working an 8:6 / 7:7 or 2:2 roster, you'll fly direct from Perth to Plutonic, arriving within 90 minutes of departure. On site, you'll enjoy modern ensuite accommodation, WiFi, a fully equipped gym, squash courts, multipurpose court and swimming pool.

This role offers genuine development potential for someone looking to build their career within a growing Australian mining business.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
