En tant que Head of Compliance and Data Protection, vous jouez un rôle central dans la protection de l’intégrité, de la réputation et des activités d’Eurostar. Avec le soutien de votre équipe, vous veillez en toute indépendance au respect des exigences légales et éthiques en matière de conformité et de protection des données personnelles.
Vous intervenez comme expert et conseiller auprès de l’ensemble de l’organisation. Vous accompagnez les équipes dans l’identification et la maîtrise des risques, tout en veillant à ce que les responsables opérationnels restent pleinement responsables des risques liés à leurs activités.
Vos principales responsabilités :
- Conseiller l’entreprise sur les exigences relatives à la conformité légale, à l’éthique des affaires et à la protection des données personnelles.
- Formuler des recommandations concernant la conformité des activités d’Eurostar et présenter régulièrement des rapports à l’ExCo et au Board.
- Contrôler le respect de la législation applicable ainsi que des politiques et procédures internes.
- Rédiger et mettre à jour les politiques, procédures et notices relatives à la conformité et à la protection des données.
- Élaborer et déployer des plans de formation, notamment en matière de lutte contre la corruption, d’éthique et de protection des données.
- Identifier, évaluer et gérer les risques et incidents de conformité, notamment au moyen d’analyses d’impact relatives à la protection des données, de cartographies des risques et de contrôles internes.
- Tenir à jour le registre des activités de traitement des données personnelles.
- Animer et coordonner l’Ethical Compliance Committee et le Data Protection Forum.
- Agir comme point de contact pour les personnes concernées, les collaborateurs, les clients, les fournisseurs, les partenaires, les actionnaires et les autorités de contrôle.
- Coopérer avec les autorités de contrôle et les actionnaires dans le cadre de leurs missions.
- Manager et accompagner le Data Privacy & Compliance Manager.
- Favoriser une culture de collaboration et de responsabilisation afin que les normes internes et externes soient comprises et appliquées de manière cohérente dans toute l’organisation.
Vous prenez les décisions opérationnelles relevant de la conformité légale et éthique et contribuez directement à la réduction des risques réglementaires, contractuels, administratifs, judiciaires et réputationnels.

As Head of Compliance and Data Protection, you will play a central role in safeguarding Eurostar’s integrity, reputation and operations. Supported by your team, you will independently oversee compliance with legal and ethical requirements relating to regulatory compliance and personal data protection.
You will act as a trusted expert and adviser across the organisation. You will support teams in identifying and managing risks, while ensuring that business owners remain fully accountable for the risks associated with their activities.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Advising the business on legal compliance, business ethics and personal data protection requirements.
- Providing recommendations on the legal compliance of Eurostar’s activities and regularly reporting to the ExCo and the Board.
- Monitoring compliance with applicable legislation and internal policies and procedures.
- Drafting and maintaining policies, procedures and notices relating to compliance and data protection.
- Developing and delivering training plans, particularly in relation to anti-corruption, ethics and data protection.
- Identifying, assessing and managing compliance risks and incidents through data protection impact assessments, risk mapping and internal controls.
- Maintaining the record of personal data processing activities.
- Leading and coordinating the Ethical Compliance Committee and the Data Protection Forum.
- Acting as a point of contact for data subjects, employees, customers, suppliers, partners, shareholders and supervisory authorities.
- Cooperating with supervisory authorities and shareholders in support of their respective responsibilities.
- Managing and supporting the Data Privacy & Compliance Manager.
- Promoting a collaborative and accountable environment in which internal and external standards are understood and applied consistently across the organisation.
You will make operational decisions within the area of legal and ethical compliance and contribute directly to reducing regulatory, contractual, administrative, legal and reputational risks.

Als Head of Compliance and Data Protection speelt u een centrale rol bij het beschermen van de integriteit, reputatie en activiteiten van Eurostar. Samen met uw team ziet u op onafhankelijke wijze toe op de naleving van de wettelijke en ethische vereisten inzake compliance en de bescherming van persoonsgegevens.
U treedt op als expert en adviseur voor de volledige organisatie. U ondersteunt de verschillende teams bij het identificeren en beheersen van risico’s, waarbij de business owners verantwoordelijk blijven voor de risico’s die verbonden zijn aan hun activiteiten.
Uw belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden:

- Opleidingsplannen ontwikkelen en uitvoeren, onder meer op het gebied van corruptiebestrijding, ethiek en gegevensbescherming.
- Compliance-risico’s en incidenten identificeren, beoordelen en beheren aan de hand van gegevensbeschermingseffectbeoordelingen, risicoanalyses en interne controles.
- Het register van verwerkingsactiviteiten van persoonsgegevens actueel houden.
- Het Ethical Compliance Committee en het Data Protection Forum leiden en coördineren.
- Optreden als contactpersoon voor betrokkenen, medewerkers, klanten, leveranciers, partners, aandeelhouders en toezichthoudende autoriteiten.
- Samenwerken met toezichthoudende autoriteiten en aandeelhouders in het kader van hun respectieve opdrachten.
- De Data Privacy & Compliance Manager aansturen en ondersteunen.
- Een omgeving van samenwerking en verantwoordelijkheid bevorderen, zodat interne en externe normen binnen de hele organisatie op een consistente manier worden begrepen en toegepast.
U neemt operationele beslissingen op het gebied van wettelijke en ethische compliance en draagt rechtstreeks bij aan het beperken van regelgevende, contractuele, administratieve, gerechtelijke en reputatierisico’s.

Pour réussir dans cette fonction, vous disposez :
- D’un diplôme de niveau master ou équivalent, avec une spécialisation en droit.
- D’au moins cinq années d’expérience en droit de la protection des données, en droit informatique ou en conformité légale.
- D’une connaissance approfondie de la conformité juridique et de la protection des données.
- D’une expertise confirmée en matière de compliance et de lutte contre la corruption.
- De solides connaissances en management, en gestion d’entreprise et en gestion des risques.
- D’une bonne connaissance de la gestion de projets.
- D’un niveau avancé en français et en anglais.
- Une connaissance intermédiaire du néerlandais constitue un atout.
Vous disposez d’un leadership affirmé et êtes capable d’influencer, de conseiller et de guider des interlocuteurs issus de différents départements. Vous communiquez avec assurance auprès de parties prenantes internes et externes, y compris au niveau de l’ExCo, du Board, des actionnaires et des autorités de contrôle. Vous combinez expertise juridique, vision stratégique, indépendance de jugement et capacité à transformer des exigences complexes en recommandations claires et opérationnelles.

- A master’s degree or equivalent, with a specialisation in law.
- At least five years of experience in data protection law, IT law or legal compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of legal compliance and data protection.
- Strong expertise in compliance and anti-corruption matters.
- Advanced knowledge of management, business operations and risk management.
- A good understanding of project management.
- Advanced proficiency in both French and English.
- Intermediate knowledge of Dutch would be an advantage.
You are a confident leader who can influence, advise and guide stakeholders across different departments. You communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including the ExCo, the Board, shareholders and supervisory authorities. You combine legal expertise, strategic thinking, independent judgement and the ability to translate complex requirements into clear and practical recommendations.
