About Flexion

At Flexion, we're building the intelligence layer powering the next generation of humanoid robots. Our mission is to accelerate the transition from fragile prototypes to real-world humanoid deployment. We are founded by leading scientists in robot reinforcement learning (ex-Nvidia, ex-ETH Zürich), and backed by leading international VC firms. In just months, we’ve gone from our first line of code to deploying real humanoid capabilities.

The Role

The Head of Go-to-Market will report directly to the CEO and sit within Flexion’s leadership team. The role will combine hands-on commercial execution with responsibility for building the company’s first repeatable GTM model.

  • Convert early commercial traction into scaled revenue: Lead Flexion’s most important OEM and enterprise relationships, progressing POCs and demonstration agreements into meaningful multi-year commercial contracts.
  • Shape the commercial model: Work with the founders and leadership to determine how Flexion should package, price and monetise its technology across software licensing, engagement fees and emerging platform capabilities.
  • Establish qualification and prioritisation: Develop a clear framework for assessing which opportunities are technically feasible, commercially attractive and capable of scaling, ensuring Flexion focuses resources on the highest-value opportunities.
  • Build the GTM operating model: Establish the first repeatable commercial processes across segmentation, pipeline management, forecasting, CRM, deal progression and commercial governance.
  • Navigate complex strategic relationships: Lead multi-stakeholder engagements across robotics OEMs and enterprise customers, balancing technical requirements, strategic partnership dynamics and commercial outcomes.
  • Remain highly hands-on: Personally own key customer conversations, proposals, negotiations and deal progression rather than operating primarily through a team.
  • Build the team intentionally intentionally over time: Design and scale the commercial organisation as the GTM model becomes clearer and revenue traction supports additional investment. Flexion has already hired an Account Manager in Zurich, who will report into this role.

Requirements

Flexion is looking for a commercially sophisticated, intellectually curious and highly hands-on builder who is comfortable operating before the playbook exists.

  • 0–1 / Early-Stage GTM Experience: Proven experience operating in an early-stage environment where the product, pricing, ICP and commercial motion were still evolving. Evidence of having personally helped create the commercial model rather than simply inheriting and scaling an established sales organisation.
  • Hands-on Strategic Selling: A strong individual track record of working directly with customers and personally progressing and closing complex opportunities. The successful candidate must be comfortable remaining close to the detail rather than immediately building a large team around them.
  • Complex Technical Enterprise Sales: Experience commercialising AI, sophisticated software or another highly technical product into large enterprise customers, navigating long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving technical, operational and executive buyers. Direct robotics experience is helpful but not essential.
  • Commercial Model Building: Ability to define qualification, customer segmentation, packaging, pricing, deal structure and sales process from first principles, and translate those decisions into a commercially viable and increasingly repeatable model.
  • Strategic Partnerships with Commercial Accountability: Comfortable operating across relationships that may sit between traditional enterprise sales, strategic partnerships and co-development, while maintaining a clear focus on monetisation and long-term revenue.
  • Founder Partnership & Commercial Judgement: Able to build credibility and trust with a highly technical founding team while bringing an independent commercial perspective, challenging assumptions constructively and introducing commercial discipline without over-engineering the organisation.
  • High EQ & Intellectual Curiosity: Strong interpersonal judgement and the ability to operate effectively across founders, researchers, engineers, OEM executives and enterprise stakeholders. Intellectually curious enough to understand complex technology without needing to be the technical expert in the room.
  • Team Leadership: Experience hiring, managing and developing early commercial hires, with the judgement to grow the team in step with revenue traction rather than ahead of it.
  • Adaptability & Comfort with Ambiguity: Comfortable operating while the product, market and commercial model continue to evolve, adapting quickly as new information emerges and building structure without becoming constrained by it.
  • Builder Mentality: Low-ego, pragmatic and willing to do the work personally, whether that means shaping a customer proposition, negotiating a contract, establishing CRM discipline or building the first commercial processes, before scaling the organisation around what proves to work.
  • Travel: Monthly travel to clients, OEM partners and key industry conferences across Europe and the US. Much of the early commercial work happens on site, so comfort with frequent, sometimes short-notice travel is required.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Enhanced pension plan
  • Enhanced holiday & paid leave perks
  • Relocation & permit sponsorship
  • Central Zürich office with top-tier robotics testing facilities and infrastructure
  • Joining Europe's leading robotics team & exposure to never-done-before research
  • Energetic, collaborative culture with a bias for action and regular community events

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
