The posting

Our experience farm, hiddenvalleyorchards.com, is a community destination in the fall for pumpkin picking, great food and beverage, family activities, and authentic, high quality retail. We are a farm first, but a hospitality venue just as much - welcoming thousands of visitors each fall. The experience of our guests and associates is of paramount importance.

We are recruiting for a PART TIME, seasonal Hospitality Operations Specialist to help lead key areas of the farm to ensure guests have a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience - and get the best of what we have to offer. Competitive compensation will be $18-25 per hour.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Daily Operations

  • Serve as the day-to-day operational leader for areas that may include retail, food & beverage, or activities
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to team members throughout each shift.
  • Conduct opening, mid-day, and closing walkthroughs to ensure all areas meet cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure employees are following SOPs, safety guidelines, and company policies consistently.
  • Jump in to perform work directly where necessary.
  • Assist with training new team members, providing hands-on coaching and feedback.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and a guest-first mindset.

Guest Experience

  • Resolve guest concerns or complaints promptly, professionally, and with a hospitality-first approach.
  • Create memorable guest interactions by anticipating needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Ensure all attractions are operating safely, efficiently, and with exceptional guest service.
  • Manage sampling and guest education on our products
  • Monitor guest flow throughout the property and make adjustments to reduce congestion and wait times.
  • Encourage team members to actively engage with guests rather than simply supervising attractions.

Safety & Compliance

  • Perform routine inspections.
  • Document and communicate maintenance, safety, or operational concerns to management.
  • Respond appropriately to guest or employee incidents and complete necessary documentation.
  • Verify attractions remain compliant with operational and safety standards throughout the day.

Property & Facility Management

  • Oversee cleanliness and appearance of guest areas, walkways, restrooms, seating areas, and activity spaces.
  • Coordinate minor maintenance needs and communicate larger repair requests.
  • Ensure supplies, equipment, and activity materials are stocked and organized.

Requirements

Experience

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Food service experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Commitment to quality, cleanliness, and great customer service.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal hours.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and provide a true farm-to-plate experience.

Abilities

  • Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying
  • Bending/kneeling: Regular bending to lift items and supplies. Periodic kneeling.
  • Mobility: Full range of mobility and the ability to travel 30-50 feet on a regular basis throughout the day.
  • Continuous standing: During preparation, during service hours or during expediting, usually all day.
  • Hearing: Must have moderate hearing to hear equipment timers and communicate with other staff.
  • Vision: Must have excellent vision to see that product is prepared appropriately.

Competencies

  • Dealing with Ambiguity: Can effectively cope with change; can shift gears comfortably; can decide and act without having the total picture; isn’t upset when things are up in the air; doesn’t have to finish things before moving on; can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty.
  • Compassion: Genuinely cares about people; is concerned about their work and non-work problems; is available and ready to help; is sympathetic to the plight of others not as fortunate; demonstrates real empathy with the joys and pain of others.
  • Composure: Is cool under pressure; does not become defensive or irritated when times are tough; is considered mature; can be counted on to hold things together during tough times; can handle stress; is not knocked off balance by the unexpected; doesn’t show frustration when resisted or blocked; is a settling influence in a crisis.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Relates well to all kinds of people – up, down, and sideways, inside and outside the organization; builds appropriate rapport; builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact; can defuse even high-tension situations comfortably.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
