The posting

We are looking for a hands-on HR Assistant Manager to support the HR Manager in running the full HR function for our growing, largely young workforce based in Colombo. This role sits on the ground with our people day to day, enforcing company standards, managing the employee lifecycle, and acting as a firm, consistent point of authority for staff.

The HR Assistant Manager will work closely with the HR Manager and Brand Leads to keep discipline and performance standards high, while creating an environment where employees feel supported, fairly treated, and motivated to perform to the best of their ability.

Requirements

Previous experience in an HR Assistant Manager, HR Executive, or similar HR role, ideally managing a young or high-volume workforce. An extremely strong-willed and strict individual who can keep firm control of a young workforce, while remaining fair and even-handed with every employee. Proven ability to motivate staff and drive them to consistently perform to the best of their ability. Strong knowledge of HR processes across the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee relations. Working knowledge of Sri Lankan employment legislation and HR compliance. Experience handling disciplinary matters, grievances and sensitive employee issues. Confident holding managers and employees accountable when company standards are not being met. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational and documentation skills. Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information professionally. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing business. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Benefits

Monthly salary: LKR 220,000 - 300,000 (market-related, based on experience)
