The posting

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Officer to support the resort’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) operations and promote a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace.

This role is responsible for supporting daily HSE activities, monitoring safety and environmental practices, assisting with waste management operations, and maintaining HSE records and documentation. The position also supports inspections, risk assessments, training programs, and compliance with applicable HSE regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) operations across the property.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections across the property and report identified hazards or non-compliance.
  • Assist with risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
  • Monitor daily waste management operations and environmental practices across the property.
  • Support fire & life safety, emergency response, and business continuity programs.
  • Assist in monitoring environmental performance, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, inspection checklists, and documentation.
  • Assist with HSE audits, inspections, certification processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the implementation of HSE policies, procedures, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in conducting HSE training, safety awareness programs, and toolbox meetings.
  • Collaborate with department teams to promote a strong safety and environmental culture.
  • Report HSE concerns, incidents, hazards, and improvement opportunities to the Head of HSE.
  • Perform other HSE-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Occupational Health & Safety (K3), Environmental, or a related role.
  • Previous experience as HSE Officer, Safety Officer, Environmental Officer, EHS Officer, or in a similar position.
  • Experience in waste management, environmental operations, occupational safety, or sustainability practices, preferably in hospitality, facility management, integrated resorts, or large commercial properties.
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), environmental regulations, waste management, fire & life safety, emergency response, risk assessment, and incident reporting.
  • Experience supporting HSE inspections, audits, SOPs, risk assessments, emergency response plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in conducting or supporting HSE training, safety awareness programs, and cross-functional safety initiatives.
  • Familiar with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, HACCP, and local HSE regulations.
  • Basic understanding of clean and potable water treatment processes, water quality monitoring, and wastewater treatment processes is required.
  • Familiarity with sustainability standards and environmental management practices is an advantage.
  • Strong coordination, communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good observation and problem-solving skills.
  • Hospitality industry experience is highly preferred. Candidates from large commercial properties, mixed-use developments, airports, healthcare, or multinational organizations with transferable HSE experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, AK3 Umum, or equivalent HSE certifications are an advantage.
