  • Coordinate with FEMA, state agencies, and local communities.
  • Participate in client meetings and public engagement activities.
  • Participate in fieldwork and site visits from design through construction as needed.
  • Support municipal MS4 and resilience planning.
  • Assist with drainage and stormwater master planning and design projects.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of drainage design principles and common analytical approaches.
  • Experience with H&H modeling with a focus on open channel hydraulics and stormwater management. Proficiency with HEC-RAS steady flow 1D modeling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts or regulatory requirements to general audiences.
  • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro or similar GIS software
  • Experience with HEC-RAS 2D or 1D unsteady flow, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, or similar modeling software
  • Experience interpreting FEMA Flood Insurance Studies (FIS), Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) guidance, and state/local floodplain management guidance.
  • ASFPM Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
