The posting

We are seeking an experienced Infectious Disease Specialist / Consultant to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide range of infectious diseases while supporting multidisciplinary teams in complex cases.

Candidates with UK CCT, Western Qualified, American Board, Australian Board, and South African Board qualifications are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic infectious diseases.
  • Manage complex bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections.
  • Provide consultation for hospital-acquired and healthcare-associated infections.
  • Support antimicrobial stewardship and appropriate antibiotic use.
  • Manage infections in immunocompromised and high-risk patients.
  • Provide guidance on infection prevention and control measures.
  • Work closely with microbiologists, intensivists, surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical audits.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and follow patient safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Infectious Diseases or equivalent.
  • Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
  • Strong experience in diagnosis and management of infectious diseases.
  • Knowledge of antimicrobial therapy and infection prevention practices.
  • Experience managing complex or hospital-acquired infections is preferred.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and patient management skills.
  • Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
