The posting

Aspire Software is looking for an Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team in Lebanon.

Here is a little window into our company: Aspire Software operates and manages wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

About the Role

The Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst owns day-to-day quality for our Bids & Tenders SaaS platform: planning tests from real product behaviour, executing manual and automated coverage, and proving release readiness with clear evidence.

You will work closely with Product, Developers, and DevOps across buyer and supplier flows (project build/publish, invitations, bid submission, addenda, evaluation/award, and integrations). You are expected to work independently on mid-sized features and smoke/regression suites, triage failures to root cause, and help keep delivery honest across environments.

What “good” looks like in this role: defects found early with reproducible steps; automation that asserts durable business state (not fragile UI copy); failed runs classified and fixed or escalated with evidence; releases that ship with known quality, not silent risk.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Test Planning & Requirements Clarity

  • Review user stories, acceptance criteria, and designs; push for clear, testable requirements before build starts.
  • Write and maintain practical test plans, scenarios, and cases for new features, enhancements, and releases.
  • Call out testing risks, dependencies, environment/data blockers, and gaps early.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives).

Manual & Exploratory Test Execution

  • Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, system, and exploratory testing for web applications and related services.
  • Validate buyer and supplier workflows end-to-end, including cross-browser / responsive behaviour where required.
  • Test APIs, integrations, and data flows between systems (auth, payments, reporting, thirdparty services).
  • Log defects with clear repro steps, expected vs actual, environment, and evidence (screenshots/logs); verify fixes and re-test impact.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing and production release validation with a checklist mindset and auditable results.

Automation & Continuous Integration Quality

  • Build and maintain automated tests (Playwright preferred; similar frameworks acceptable) for high-value regression and smoke paths.
  • Prefer durable readiness signals: lifecycle status, network/API contracts, and enabled business actions—not transient sidebar/toast copy.
  • Keep suites stable in Continuous Integration: diagnose flakes, fix ownership (product vs automation vs environment/data vs infrastructure), and avoid unbounded retries.
  • Contribute to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment quality gates and readable failure reports so the team can act quickly.
  • Expand automation coverage deliberately: automate what is repetitive and high-risk; keep exploratory judgment for what is not.

Procurement Platform & Business Process Validation

  • • Confirm integrations with authentication providers, payment systems, reporting tools, and other third-party services.
  • Check accessibility, privacy, and security-related behaviour at a practical QA depth (WCAG familiarity is valued).

Collaboration, Triage & Communication

  • Partner with Developers and Product Managers to resolve issues and improve quality outcomes.
  • Join defect triage and root-cause discussions; classify failures clearly (product, automation, environment/data, or infrastructure).
  • • Communicate progress, risks, and release confidence in plain language with evidence attached.
  • Share knowledge: keep test notes, runbooks, and short how-tos current for the QA team.

Other Duties

  • Perform related duties as assigned to support release quality and team delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of software quality assurance experience on web-based or SaaS products.
  • Proven experience designing and executing both manual and automated tests.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining UI automation suites.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and investigating pipeline failures.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g. Jira, Qase, Azure DevOps, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience testing REST APIs (Postman or equivalent) and reading basic logs / network traces.
  • Comfortable validating multi-step business workflows (stateful flows, roles, and permissions) not only isolated UI screens.

Test Automation

  • Practical experience with at least one modern UI automation framework (Playwright strongly preferred; Cypress or Selenium acceptable
  • Ability to write maintainable automated tests using code (TypeScript/JavaScript preferred;
  • Java/Python/C# acceptable) as well as experience debugging tests including timing/race conditions, brittle selectors, environment/data dependencies, and shared-state collisions.
  • Experience with automated API checks and combining UI + API verification in end-to-end flows.
  • Familiarity with Git-based collaboration for test code (branches, pull requests, code review).
  • Experience with test data setup/teardown, storage-state / auth reuse, and multienvironment configuration is an asset.
  • Exposure to GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jenkins, or similar CI systems is an asset.

Technical Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and when to apply each (smoke, regression, integration, exploratory, UAT).
  • Working knowledge of SQL / relational data for verification.
  • Familiarity with browser DevTools (network, console) for diagnosis during manual and automated failure analysis.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and interpreting failed pipeline runs, logs, and test artifacts.
  • Basic understanding of cloud SaaS architecture and multi-environment testing (staging / production-like lanes).
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) is an asset.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
