We're looking for an Internal Chief of Staff to work directly alongside the founders of Hire Overseas, a fast-moving offshore staffing and HR platform placing vetted global talent into U.S. companies. You will be the operational and strategic right hand of the founding team — owning cross-functional initiatives, keeping the business running without gaps, translating founder priorities into executed outcomes, and filling whatever role the business needs most at any given moment.
This is a small business. You will have a high degree of ownership and autonomy, which means you are expected to think, decide, and act rather than wait for direction. What You'll Work On
Founder and Executive Support
- Serve as the primary operational partner to the founders, managing priorities, information flow, and execution across the business
- Prepare founders for meetings, decisions, and external conversations with the right context and materials
- Manage founder inboxes, communications, and follow-ups where needed to keep momentum moving
- Identify and remove obstacles that slow the founders down before they have to ask
Cross-Functional Operations
- Own and drive cross-functional initiatives that span multiple teams or functions and require coordination without formal authority
- Keep critical projects on track by clarifying ownership, deadlines, and next steps across the organization
- Build and maintain internal processes, SOPs, and operational infrastructure that scale as the company grows
- Identify operational gaps and fix them proactively rather than waiting to be assigned
Strategic Projects and Analysis
- Take on high-priority strategic projects from scoping through completion with minimal hand-holding
- Research, analyze, and synthesize information to help the founders make faster, better decisions
- Prepare internal reports, presentations, and communications that give the team and leadership clear visibility into what matters
- Translate strategy into action plans that people can actually execute
People and Team Coordination
- Coordinate across internal team members, contractors, and external partners to keep commitments on track
- Support hiring, onboarding, and team operations as the company grows
- Serve as a trusted internal communication hub, ensuring the right people have the right information at the right time
What You Bring
- Proven experience in a chief of staff, operations lead, founder's associate, or similar high-ownership generalist role at a startup or fast-moving company
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to represent the founders professionally in any context
- Strong strategic thinking combined with the operational discipline to execute without losing quality or momentum
- Comfortable operating with full autonomy in a small business where the answers are not always obvious and the scope evolves quickly
- High ownership mindset — you surface problems with a proposed solution, close loops without being reminded, and do not wait to be told what to do next
- Versatile and adaptable with the ability to move between strategic, operational, and administrative work without losing effectiveness in any of them
Nice to Have
- Experience at a staffing, recruiting, HR services, or B2B professional services company
- Background working directly with founders or C-suite executives in a high-trust, high-access role
- Familiarity with offshore or global hiring and the operational complexity of managing a distributed workforce
- Experience building internal processes, SOPs, or operational infrastructure from scratch
- Prior chief of staff or founder's associate experience at an early-stage or high-growth company
