Join our team as a Junior Draftsperson!

DOF is seeking a motivated Junior Draftsperson to join our Engineering & Drafting team in the Perth CBD.

Reporting to the Lead Draftsperson, you will have the opportunity to build your career while contributing to complex and rewarding projects across the offshore and subsea industry. This role is ideal for an early-career draftsperson looking to gain hands-on experience, develop technical capability and learn from experienced professionals within a global organisation.

As a Junior Draftsperson, you will support our engineering, tendering, and project teams by producing high-quality technical drawings and design documentation across a range of offshore and subsea work scopes.

Working under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will:

  • Prepare and maintain 2D technical drawings and documentation.
  • Develop storyboards and drafting packages to a high professional standard.
  • Liaise with engineers and project stakeholders to obtain design information.
  • Ensure drawings comply with relevant drafting standards and project requirements.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, consistency, and quality.

In return, you'll receive ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities, including exposure to 3D drafting, industry best practices, and a variety of engineering projects that will help accelerate your career growth.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering, Technical Drafting, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
  • Experience with Autodesk Vault (Desirable).
  • Ability to produce drawings in accordance with relevant drafting standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to review drawings for compliance and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project teams.
  • Aligned with our values: Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence - and above all, Safety.

Is this the perfect role for you, but you don’t meet every single requirement? We value the right person over a perfect match to a job description.

Research shows that underrepresented groups are less likely to apply unless they meet every listed requirement, and we don’t want that to hold great talent back, so we encourage you to apply.

It’s the best way for us to find the right talent for this role, or another, and that could be you.

Location: Perth CBD with flexible hybrid options available

Application due date: Thursday October 15th 2026

Shortlisting and interviews will commence immediately and may be conducted prior to the closing date, we encourage you to apply as soon as you are able.

DOF reserves the right to close the position earlier than stated if required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
