As a Junior Executive, Legal, you will take ownership of the Legal team’s debt recovery work while supporting legal matters across Malaysia and Singapore. Working closely with external counsel and the Collections team, you will help move recovery cases forward and improve how we manage them. You will also gain hands-on exposure to commercial agreements, regulatory matters and Group projects.

This is a role where your work goes well beyond reviewing documents: you will collaborate with colleagues from across multiple functions such as Operations, Credit, Payments, Partnerships, Product and Engineering to solve real business problems and see your legal contributions be put into action.

What you will do:

  • Support debt recovery matters by coordinating with external counsel on letters of demand, legal proceedings, winding-up actions and judgment enforcement. Work with the Collections team to track cases and improve recovery processes.
  • Draft and review commercial and financing documents, including collaboration and partnership agreements, service agreements and NDAs. Assist with more complex corporate transactions under supervision.
  • Research and assist with day-to-day legal matters across Malaysia and Singapore, including customer complaints, scams or impersonation cases, regulatory queries and audits.
  • Communicate legal issues clearly to colleagues in different teams and help develop practical solutions.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, including management and improvements of systems, trackers and knowledge centers, as well as tender processes and the use of AI and automation tools.

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • 1 to 3 years’ post-qualification experience in litigation, corporate, banking or commercial practice. Litigation or debt recovery experience is an advantage.
  • Strong skills in legal drafting, document review, and research.
  • High ownership and accountability; self-driven, solutions-oriented, and motivated to deliver results.
  • Pragmatic and street-smart, able to grasp technical subject matter (e.g., product, technology, operations) quickly and communicate clearly with non-legal stakeholders.
  • Possesses good commercial judgment and the ability to provide balanced, business-oriented legal solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • IT-proficient – confident using spreadsheets, shared drives, and internal trackers.
  • Exposure to AI tools, legal technology, or automation of legal processes is a bonus, particularly where used to improve efficiency and streamline legal workflows

Just completed chambering? If you don't have all of the experience above but have a strong can-do attitude and are eager to learn, we would still love to hear from you. We value attitude, curiosity and the willingness to learn just as much as experience.

What you will gain:

  • Exposure to cutting-edge fintech legal work encompassing digital lending, payments, software, and platform infrastructure, with a focus on AI and automation.
  • Direct involvement in high-impact strategic initiatives such as fundraising, product launches, regulatory engagement.
  • Be part of a lean, high-performing legal team that provides close mentorship, meaningful support, and huge opportunities for growth and advancement.
  • Be part of a mission-driven company that is transforming access to financing for SMEs across Southeast Asia.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
