About complead
complead, formerly Sanction Scanner, is the financial crime platform we started in Istanbul in 2020. We run sanctions screening, KYC and KYB, transaction monitoring, fraud detection and case management for more than 800 financial institutions in over 80 countries, from payment companies to tier-one banks. One engine, one customer record, one audit trail.
The name changed this year because the work outgrew it. The standard underneath it did not: compliance software should be judged by what it covers, how fast it answers and whether it can explain itself.
What we have earned so far
- Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Türkiye, four years (the latest, our first under the complead name)
- Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA, two consecutive years
- Inc. Türkiye 100 Fastest-Growing Companies, two consecutive years
- G2 AML Overall Leader, three years running
- Listed in Fast Company Best Startups, FinCrimeTech50, RegTech100 and TOBB 100 Fast Growing Companies
The role
We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to run product at complead. You will own every module in the platform, lead two product managers, and turn the way we build software into an AI-native process.
You report directly to the CEO. You lead two junior product managers and work every day with engineering, sales and customer success. This is not a seat where you set the strategy and others carry it out. You will write specs, run sprints and ship releases yourself, and make the people around you better while you do it.
What you will own
- Every module. Sanctions screening, KYC and KYB, transaction monitoring, fraud detection and case management. You own the roadmap, board, sprint planning, UAT and releases across all of them. You stay hands-on: you write specs and run releases yourself, not only review them, and you answer for what ships and when.
- The product team. Two junior product managers. You set their priorities, review their specs, run weekly one-to-ones and coach them until each can run their modules without you.
- An AI-native product process. Research, specs, prototypes, test cases and release notes built with AI tools such as Claude, Claude Code, Cursor or v0. You set the standard, show the team how, and measure how much faster we ship because of it.
- AI in the product. Find where AI agents make compliance teams faster, such as alert triage, case summaries and explaining risk decisions. You write the spec, prove it with a prototype and ship it with engineering.
- AI across the company. Help sales, support and operations build their own AI workflows, and turn the best ones into internal tools.
- Process and detail. A roadmap that matches reality, a board that is up to date, releases that go out on the date we promised, and nothing lost between product, engineering, QA and sales.
- Customers and competitors. Join customer calls, read support tickets, track competitors and turn what you learn into roadmap decisions. Most of our customers are outside Türkiye, so much of this work happens in English.
What your first year looks like
In week one you read the board, sit with each product manager and the engineering leads, and join customer calls. By month three you run sprints and releases across every module, run the product team's weekly rhythm, and the whole team works with the AI workflows you set up. By month twelve both product managers run their modules day to day on their own, the team ships measurably faster than it does today, and at least one AI feature you specified is in customers' hands.
Requirements
What we are looking for
- 6+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, including at least 2 years leading other product managers.
- Experience in fintech, regtech, AML or payments is a strong plus.
- A record of shipping. You have owned roadmaps, run sprints and released on time, and you can walk us through something you shipped yourself, step by step.
- Daily, hands-on use of AI tools, beyond writing emails. You have built a working prototype or internal tool with Claude Code, Cursor, v0 or similar, and you use AI to research, write specs and analyse data. Bring examples.
- A technical foundation. You are comfortable with APIs and integrations, write SQL for your own analysis, and know tools like Azure Boards or Jira, Postman and Grafana.
- Attention to detail and follow-through. You notice the ticket nobody updated and the dependency nobody mentioned, and you close the loop without being asked.
- A people leader who still does the work. You give clear expectations and honest feedback, and you lead by example rather than by delegation.
- Comfort with intensity. This is a demanding role at a fast-growing company, and some weeks are long. You set the pace for the team, not the other way round.
- Fluent spoken English. You can run a customer call, present a roadmap and push back in a discussion in English. Reading and writing alone are not enough, and part of our interview process is in English.
- A degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- You are happy to work from our office in Üsküdar, Istanbul. This role is on-site.
Before you apply
This is a player-coach role. If you want to manage product managers without owning anything yourself, this is not the right seat. If you would rather write the spec, build the prototype and also make sure the two people next to you get better every week, it is.
Benefits
What comes with the job
- Private health insurance. Private health cover for you from your first month.
- Pension plan. A private pension plan as part of your package.
- Paid time off. Paid annual leave from your first year, with no waiting period.
- Meal and transport allowance. Daily meal and transport costs covered on top of your salary.
- Training & development. A budget for certifications, courses and conferences.
- Performance bonus. A bonus tied to your results and the company's.
