About KRUSH Tech

KRUSH Tech is building the future of aerospace, defense, communications, and autonomous systems. We develop advanced technologies that transform innovative ideas into reliable, production-ready solutions. Our multidisciplinary teams collaborate across engineering, software, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations to solve complex challenges and deliver next-generation capabilities for our customers. We are driven by innovation, technical excellence, and a commitment to advancing the future of autonomous aerospace systems.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Lead RF Systems Engineer to drive the architecture, development, integration, and delivery of advanced RF and microwave hardware and systems for next-generation defense applications.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for defining RF/Telecom system architecture at the product and platform level, designin RF devices, circuits, and hardware modules, making complex technical decisions, guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams, and supporting products throughout the full development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in RF and microwave system design with strong technical leadership skills and experience delivering complex, high-reliability products in regulated environments.

This role is focused on RF/microwave product and system development rather than cellular network planning, RAN optimization, or RF site deployment.

What You'll Do

  • Define and develop RF/Telecom system architecture at the product and platform level, and develop innovative engineering approaches for advanced RF and microwave systems.
  • Lead low-level RF device, circuit, and hardware module design, including component selection, schematic development, simulation, PCB implementation, prototype bring-up, and design optimization.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and make independent, complex engineering decisions across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead RF engineering projects from concept and architecture through detailed design, integration, validation, production, and sustainment - balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, compliance, and reliability.
  • Perform and guide RF system-level analysis, including link budgets, performance analysis, and technical trade-off evaluations; conduct design reviews and architecture assessments.
  • Guide RF design analysis and optimization across areas such as gain, noise figure, linearity, impedance matching, phase noise, interference, and overall RF signal-chain performance.
  • Develop validation strategies, verification plans, test methodologies, and scalable RF designs suitable for production and future platform growth.
  • Lead RF system integration, troubleshooting, testing, and performance validation, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards (FCC, ETSI, and related certifications).
  • Establish and promote engineering best practices across all stages of the product development lifecycle.
  • Organize, coordinate, mentor, and lead RF engineering teams, and participate in technical interviews and engineering hiring decisions.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 6+ years of professional experience designing and developing RF/microwave hardware, devices, subsystems, or products, with expertise in RF/Telecom system architecture at the product and platform level.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with low-level RF device, circuit, or hardware module design—not solely RF network design, optimization, integration, testing, or tuning.
  • Experience with RF component selection, schematic design, circuit simulation, PCB design/layout considerations, prototype bring-up, debugging, and design validation.
  • Strong understanding of RF design fundamentals and system-level analysis, including gain, noise figure, linearity, impedance matching, link budgets, and RF performance trade-offs.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and providing technical direction across complex, cross-functional development projects, with the ability to independently assess technical risk.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory standards and certification requirements, including FCC, ETSI, and related compliance frameworks, and experience supporting RF products from prototype bring-up through production.

At this time, KRUSH Tech is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer-sponsored visa support, now or in the future.

Due to U.S. Government export control regulations, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or otherwise eligible to access export-controlled information.

Tools & Technical Environment

Experience with a combination of the following RF design, simulation, and test tools is preferred:

  • Keysight ADS (Advanced Design System)
  • CST Studio Suite
  • Ansys HFSS
  • Cadence AWR
  • Altium Designer
  • MATLAB
  • EMIQuest
  • Spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, and oscilloscopes
  • Vector and analog signal generators
  • Vector Network Analyzers (VNA)
  • RF diagnostic / anechoic chambers
  • Load-pull measurement systems and related RF test equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience developing RF systems for defense, aerospace, electronic warfare, radar, satellite communications, or secure communications applications.
  • Familiarity with military standards (MIL-STD), environmental qualification testing, and defense product development.
  • Experience developing high-reliability RF hardware and systems for demanding operating environments.
  • Experience supporting products from concept through production and field deployment.

Why Join KRUSH Tech?

  • Work on cutting-edge RF and microwave systems for next-generation defense and aerospace platforms.
  • Join KRUSH Tech's U.S. operations at the ground floor and help shape the engineering organization from day one.
  • Lead complex, high-reliability programs from architecture through production and field deployment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team solving some of the industry's most demanding engineering challenges.
  • Grow your career in a fast-paced, innovative, and mission-driven environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and virtually.
  • Ability to work in RF lab, anechoic chamber, and test environments, with occasional travel to testing sites or manufacturing facilities as needed.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
