You’ll play a key role in keeping legal operations running smoothly by ensuring deadlines are tracked, filings are accurate, case files remain organized, and attorneys are fully supported operationally.

This role is not focused on practicing law or providing legal advice. Instead, it centers on administrative excellence, legal process coordination, and ensuring attorneys can focus on legal strategy and client representation without operational bottlenecks.

The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing multiple legal matters simultaneously in a remote environment.

• Draft routine legal correspondence, templates, and administrative legal documents • Prepare, proofread, and format pleadings, contracts, filings, and legal correspondence • Ensure documents meet formatting standards, filing requirements, and accuracy expectations • Organize exhibits, supporting documentation, and legal records for attorney review

• Prepare and submit electronic filings with state and federal courts • Track court deadlines, filing confirmations, and procedural requirements • Maintain organized filing calendars to ensure zero missed deadlines • Coordinate hearing dates, depositions, and litigation scheduling logistics

Case & File Management

• Maintain organized and up-to-date digital case files within legal management systems • Ensure all records, communications, and documentation are audit-ready and easily retrievable • Track matter status updates and maintain accurate case records • Manage document version control and legal file organization

Calendar & Administrative Coordination

• Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, and reminders • Coordinate client meetings, hearings, depositions, and internal legal meetings • Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively maintain organization across calendars • Support attorneys with day-to-day administrative coordination and workflow management

Client Communication & Coordination

• Draft and send client updates, reminders, and document requests • Maintain professional, timely, and well-documented communication with clients • Follow up on outstanding information or signatures as needed • Ensure a responsive and organized client experience throughout legal matters

Legal Research & Billing Support

• Conduct preliminary legal research under attorney supervision using approved legal databases • Summarize findings and organize supporting materials for review • Track billable hours, assist with invoicing, and maintain billing documentation • Support legal reporting and administrative tracking processes

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail • Strong multitasking ability in deadline-driven environments • Professional communicator with excellent written English skills • Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities • Proactive problem-solver who anticipates needs before issues arise • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning legal systems and workflows quickly

Required Experience & Skills

• 2+ years of legal support, administrative, or legal assistant experience • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace • Experience using legal case/document management systems such as Clio, MyCase, or PracticePanther • Strong document formatting, proofreading, and typing skills • Ability to manage confidential information professionally and securely • Strong organizational and calendar management skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience with state and federal e-filing systems • Exposure to litigation, compliance, corporate, or legal operations environments • Familiarity with legal billing tools such as Clio Manage, Timeslips, or Bill4Time • Basic legal research experience using Westlaw, LexisNexis, or government databases • Experience supporting multiple attorneys or legal matters simultaneously

What a Typical Day Looks Like

A Legal Assistant’s day revolves around organization, precision, and deadline management. You will: • Prepare and proofread legal documents and filings • Manage attorney schedules, hearings, and deadlines • Coordinate and maintain digital case files and legal records • Communicate with clients regarding updates and required documentation • Submit and track court filings and procedural requirements • Support billing, legal research, and operational coordination tasks

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
