The posting

Before You Apply

Candidates must be based in the United States and authorized to work without sponsorship. This role requires 3+ years of professional writing experience, including substantial experience creating legal content, and published samples that show how you research.

About RR Digital

RR Digital is a digital marketing agency specializing in comprehensive solutions for law firms. Our content team produces highly individualized, research-intensive legal and medical content designed to educate readers, build trust, and accurately reflect each client's expertise.

About the Role

We're looking for someone with exceptional writing skills and legal content expertise to create well-researched legal content for our law firm clients. You will develop original content from research materials and briefs, and refine AI-generated drafts into accurate, engaging content that meets our standards for quality and legal accuracy. You will adapt your writing to different clients, practice areas, audiences, and brand standards. This is a full-time remote position.

The strongest candidates do more than follow a brief or summarize information. You should be able to independently research a topic, evaluate what you find, identify what is and is not supported by reliable sources, and use sound editorial judgment to turn that research into accurate, useful content.

What You'll Do

Content creation

  • Write clear, original content or refine AI-generated drafts into accurate, publication-ready material.
  • Follow client branding guidelines, style directives, and content brief instructions.
  • Create new content, refresh existing content, and track developments in ongoing cases.
  • Self-check all work for clarity, coherence, accuracy, and grammar before submission.
  • Incorporate editorial feedback and revisions constructively and promptly.

Legal research and verification

  • Independently verify all factual claims against primary and authoritative sources such as statutes, case law, regulatory documents, and peer-reviewed journals.
  • Read and interpret statutes, case law, court filings, and regulatory language accurately.
  • Flag any claim that cannot be verified, and keep unverified information out of drafts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of assigned client practice areas through legal research.
  • Evaluate source quality and decide which sources are appropriate to support specific claims.
  • Use professional judgment to recognize when available information is insufficient or conflicting, and escalate when necessary.

Content optimization

  • Apply current SEO best practices to improve the discoverability and usefulness of legal content.
  • Understand how search engines and AI-powered search experiences evaluate, interpret, and surface content.
  • Use keywords strategically but naturally so quality is never compromised.
  • Structure content for web readability with clear headings, bullet points, sentence length, and paragraph breaks.
  • Stay current on changes in SEO, AI-powered search, and content quality standards.

Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Law, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional writing experience, including substantial experience creating legal content.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently research complex legal topics using primary and authoritative sources, including statutes, regulations, case law, court filings, government publications, and medical or scientific literature.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, concepts, and litigation processes.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and synthesize complex legal and medical information without oversimplifying or introducing inaccuracies.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, engaging content for a non-legal audience.
  • Strong editorial judgment and the ability to recognize unsupported, conflicting, outdated, or questionable information.
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated content, identify inaccuracies, unsupported claims, omissions, and weak reasoning, and substantially revise it when necessary.
  • Ability to adapt your writing to different clients, audiences, practice areas, and brand standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to write effectively for the web, with familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, including the ability to catch grammatical, factual, attribution, and legal errors.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines independently in a remote environment.
  • Ability to receive editorial feedback and apply it well.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Google Workspace.

Preferred

  • Experience with mesothelioma, asbestos-related litigation, or mass tort litigation.
  • Familiarity with personal injury law practice and litigation processes.
  • Experience editing content for law firm websites or legal marketing.
  • Experience with primary source verification and medical or scientific literature review.
  • Familiarity with fact-checking tools and databases such as Nexis, case law databases, and medical journals.
  • Knowledge of legal SEO best practices.
  • Background or coursework in law, legal studies, or paralegal studies.
  • Experience researching and writing about ongoing litigation or trial developments.

What to Include With Your Application

Please include two or three published legal writing samples, ideally in personal injury or mass tort, with citations or source notes where you have them.

Benefits

  • 401(k): Match 100% of employee contributions up to 4%
  • Unlimited Manager-Approved Paid Time Off
  • Health Insurance: Aetna PPO & EPO options (Subsidized $300 per month)
  • Dental & Vision Insurance: Guardian

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
