Job responsibilities: - Provide legal advice and support to the company's management and departments on a wide range of legal issues. - Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure the company's interests are protected. - Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and advise on potential legal risks and liabilities. - Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation. - Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed to manage complex legal matters. - Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to promote best practices and mitigate risks. - Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends. - Provide training and guidance to employees on legal and compliance matters.
Job requirements: - Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. - At least five years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. Exposure to cross-border transactions, technology, cloud services, data centres, or infrastructure is an advantage. - Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements, including customer, supplier, procurement, services, confidentiality, and strategic partnership contracts. -Working knowledge of Singapore and Southeast Asian requirements relating to corporate governance, data protection, intellectual property, employment matters, and commercial compliance.
