The posting

Host Stand Agency (HSA) is looking for a Discovery Manager to lead our local search and business profile practice across restaurant, hospitality, and multi-location clients.

This role will own how client location data is structured, published, measured, and maintained across platforms including Google Business Profile, Apple Business Connect, Yelp, Bing, TripAdvisor, and other discovery channels.

You’ll oversee listings and data management for portfolios that can exceed 100 locations, build reporting and attribution frameworks using platforms such as Marqii and GA4, identify opportunities to improve local search visibility, and advise clients on review management technology and processes.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex platform issues but can also think strategically about systems, automation, reporting, and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Own setup, management, and data accuracy for multi-location business profiles across Google Business Profile, Apple Business Connect, Yelp, Bing Places, TripAdvisor, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
  • Manage listings through Marqii or comparable platforms such as Yext, Uberall, Birdeye, Reputation, Momos, or SOCi.
  • Establish and maintain a reliable source of truth for location information including names, addresses, phone numbers, hours, categories, menus, reservation links, ordering links, and attributes.
  • Troubleshoot complex listing issues including verification, ownership recovery, duplicate profiles, suspensions, reinstatements, and conflicting platform data.
  • Implement UTM standards and GA4 events/conversions to measure traffic and actions generated by local discovery channels.
  • Conduct local search audits and develop prioritized recommendations for improving visibility and data accuracy.
  • Use tools such as Semrush, BrightLocal, or Local Falcon for local rankings, competitor analysis, audits, and keyword research.
  • Monitor how client brands appear across AI-powered search and assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI experiences.
  • Design review-management workflows, response guidelines, escalation processes, and technology recommendations for clients.
  • Evaluate new local search, listings, reputation, and AI discovery tools and recommend improvements to HSA’s technology stack.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement across large location portfolios.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in local SEO, local search, business listings, location management, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large multi-location portfolios, ideally 100+ locations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Business Profile, including verification, bulk management, guidelines, suspensions, and reinstatements.
  • Experience managing listings through a centralized platform such as Marqii, Yext, Uberall, Birdeye, Reputation, Momos, SOCi, or similar.
  • Strong working knowledge of GA4, including UTM tracking, events, conversions, and performance reporting.
  • Experience with local SEO and visibility tools such as Semrush, BrightLocal, Local Falcon, or Moz Local.
  • Understanding of local search fundamentals including NAP consistency, location pages, categories, structured data, and local ranking factors.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with daily overlap with U.S. Eastern Time.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with OpenTable, Resy, SevenRooms, Tock, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Manager and other marketing platform permissions.

Benefits

  • Fully remote work.
  • Long-term collaboration.
  • Flexible working environment
  • Growth opportunities

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
