This position requires an experienced industry professional with a strong understanding of shipping agency operations, vessel husbandry, port services, and international shipping markets. The role will work closely with senior leadership to execute TMS's growth strategy and establish the company as a leading global agency provider.

The role can be based in Nigeria, London, or Athens, with extensive international travel and the expectation of spending significant time across key growth regions as the business expands.

  • Develop relationships with local agents, port authorities, terminals, customs officials, immigration authorities, and service providers.
  • Ensure agency offices operate to the highest levels of service and compliance.
  • Support operational teams in resolving complex customer and port-related matters.
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures across the network.

Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain senior relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Act as a strategic point of contact for major clients.
  • Represent TMS at industry events, conferences, and client meetings globally.
  • Promote the TMS brand and strengthen its market presence.

Strategic Leadership

  • Work directly with executive management to identify growth opportunities and expansion priorities.
  • Provide regular market intelligence and business development updates.
  • Assist with acquisitions, joint ventures, and new market entry initiatives.
  • Support recruitment and development of regional agency teams as the business grows.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
