Role: Manager – Spare Parts Warehouse
Department: Operations Location: Bengaluru, India Experience: 8 - 14 Years
Your Team:
You'll be working with Operations — a group that runs on coffee and an infectious passion for building products that have never been built before. Our Flexible Energy Stack consists of the e^pack (battery pack) and e^pump (charging station), which unlock 15-minute rapid charging.
Our philosophy:
Break. Believe. Build.
Break stuff, break assumptions, break the thumb rule.
Believe in the team, the process, and through failures.
Build fast, build passionately, build to simplify.
Own it like you mean it.
What you’ll own:
To oversee and optimize central spare parts distribution operations. This role ensures seamless, on-time availability and distribution of automotive spare parts to authorized dealer networks, service centers, and regional warehouses while optimizing inventory holding costs, minimizing obsolescence, and driving aftersales service KPIs.
What you’ll do:
1. Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management
- Stock Control: Maintain optimal stock levels for fast-moving, slow-moving, and critical components across bin locations to prevent stockouts.
- Inventory Accuracy: Conduct regular cycle counts, physical stock audits, and system reconciliations against the Dealer Management System (DMS) or ERP (SAP/Oracle).
- Warehouse Layout & 5S: Manage bin-locating systems, barcoding/RFID workflows, material handling equipment (MHE), and safety compliance.
- Obsolescence Control: Monitor and liquidate slow-moving and dead stock to safeguard working capital.
2. Order Fulfillment & Supply Chain Coordination
- Order Processing: Review open orders, track daily pick-pack-dispatch cycles, and ensure high Order Fill Rates (OTIF - On-Time In-Full) for dealer networks.
- Plant & Vendor Liaison: Coordinate closely with manufacturing plants, central procurement hubs, and technical teams for urgent backorders and campaign/recall rollouts.
- Logistics & Dispatch: Manage third-party logistics (3PL) partners, freight carriers, and transport timelines to reduce transit damage and delivery lead times.
3. Commercial, Warranty & Compliance
- Warranty & Returns: Oversee the proper receipt, inspection, and processing of defective parts, core returns, and manufacturer warranty claims.
- KPI Monitoring: Track monthly warehouse operational metrics, logistics expenditures, and budgetary constraints.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce corporate spares guidelines, regional compliance regulations, and warehouse safety protocols.
4. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Train warehouse staff and dealer parts personnel on modern parts operations, safety protocols, and ERP systems.
- Lead performance reviews, shift scheduling, and cross-functional problem-solving initiatives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Order Fill Rate / Service Level: Target percentage of dealer/workshop orders fulfilled completely and on time.
- Stock Accuracy Rate: Precision between physical stock and system inventory records (Target: >98%).
- Inventory Turnover / Days of Inventory: Keeping holding days within our-defined financial limits to optimize cash flow.
- Dispatch Turnaround Time (TAT): Time elapsed from initial order receipt to final courier dispatch.
What you’ll bring:
- Education qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering, or a professional Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain or Materials Management.
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in automotive spare parts management, warehouse logistics, or aftersales supply chain within an OEM or major dealer group.
- Hands-on proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS). Strong command of data analysis tools (MS Excel, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Demonstrated leadership, vendor negotiation prowess, an analytical mindset, and strong crisis-management abilities.
What matters to us:
- Quality of work
- Structured problem-solving
- Dissatisfaction with mediocre work
- Ability to multi-task and handle a dynamic working environment
- Resilient attitude to bounce back after failing
