Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Working a continental shift pattern, 4 on 4 off covering both days and nights, 6:30am to 6:30pm & 6:30pm to 6:30am Keele, Cheshire £49,764 (including shift allowance) + overtime (paid at a premium) + benefits

Our operations are organised into three distinct divisions: Landscape Products, Building Products, and Roofing Products and it is within our Marley business that we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

So what's the mission? The role of the Maintenance Engineer is to provide a range of Engineering Support and Maintenance services across the Keele Manufacturing site. Predominantly the role is for Planned Preventative Maintenance and Breakdown Response on process equipment in production and support areas. The aim is to ensure that all equipment is maintained effectively, and all breakdowns / repairs are carried out efficiently and safely

What are the mission-critical skills?

  • Good working knowledge of mechanical engineering
  • Apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer to NVQ Level 3
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics will be an advantage
  • Experience in fabrication and welding would be beneficial
  • Team player with attention to detail
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Experience in mechanical fault finding, defect rectification and routine maintenance activities
  • Excellent level of English, oral and written
