We are looking for an experienced Mid Office Operations professional to join our financial services team and manage critical operational activities across the mutual fund lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of investment operations, transaction processing, reconciliation, and operational controls, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, fund houses, and external stakeholders.

This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure that mutual fund transactions and operational processes are executed accurately, efficiently, and within defined timelines. Candidates with prior experience working with an AMC (Asset Management Company) or within the asset management industry will be preferred.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day mid-office operations related to mutual fund transactions, investment processing, and portfolio operations.
  • Monitor and process mutual fund transactions including purchases, redemptions, switches, SIPs, STPs, and other investment-related activities.
  • Perform transaction validation, trade verification, and ensure accurate processing across relevant systems.
  • Coordinate with fund houses, AMCs, custodians, brokers, registrars, and other external stakeholders for timely resolution of operational issues.
  • Conduct regular reconciliation of transactions, holdings, cash positions, and other investment-related records.
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate exceptions, and ensure timely resolution in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reports, MIS, and documentation for internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor transaction statuses and ensure adherence to defined SLAs, processes, and operational controls.
  • Support NAV-related activities, corporate actions, and other fund operation processes where required.
  • Assist in identifying process gaps and implementing improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, standard operating procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with front-office, back-office, finance, compliance, and technology teams to ensure smooth end-to-end investment operations.
  • Prepare regular operational reports and provide timely updates on pending transactions, exceptions, and reconciliations to management.

Must-Have Skills

  • Mutual Fund Operations
  • Strong understanding of investment and mid-office operations
  • Hands-on experience in transaction processing and reconciliation
  • Knowledge of mutual fund products, transaction lifecycle, and operational processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume transactions
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and operational reporting tools
  • Ability to work within strict timelines and manage multiple operational activities

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Prior experience with an AMC (Asset Management Company)
  • Knowledge of fund accounting and NAV processes
  • Exposure to custodial operations, corporate actions, or capital markets
  • Familiarity with RTA platforms and investment management systems
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to mutual funds
  • Experience in process improvement and automation initiatives

Experience

4–12 years of relevant experience in Mutual Fund Operations, Mid Office Operations, Investment Operations, Asset Management, or related financial services functions.
