Role purpose
Unison is seeking an experienced Moody’s functional consultant to support the implementation and enhancement of risk and regulatory reporting capabilities using Moody’s RiskAuthority (RAY), with a focus on Liquidity Risk. The consultant will work with business and technology teams to translate regulatory and business requirements into practical system configurations, data solutions, and tested reporting outcomes.
Experience with Moody’s RiskConfidence (RCO), particularly Asset Liability Management (ALM), is valuable where the programme scope includes balance-sheet risk, liquidity stress testing, or IRRBB.
Key responsibilities
- Work with Treasury, Finance, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, and Technology stakeholders to understand business processes, regulatory obligations, and reporting needs.
- Elicit and document functional requirements, process flows, assumptions, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
- Map business requirements to Moody’s RAY-LR functionality and, where applicable, RCO/ALM capabilities.
- Configure or specify liquidity risk calculations, rules, parameters, scenarios, and reports in line with approved business requirements.
- Support regulatory liquidity reporting, including MAS requirements such as the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and applicable minimum liquid asset requirements.
- Support liquidity stress testing and scenario analysis, including the review of assumptions, cash-flow classifications, funding sources, and output validation.
- Define and review source-to-target data mappings; work with data and technology teams on transformation rules, reconciliations, data quality, and lineage.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis, impact assessments, solution walkthroughs, and proofs of concept; identify risks and propose practical options.
- Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, mapping documents, test scenarios, and operating procedures.
- Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), parallel runs, defect triage, and reconciliation of system outputs against agreed benchmarks.
- Coordinate with developers, testers, release managers, vendors, and business users to resolve functional and data issues.
- Support implementation readiness, cutover, go-live, knowledge transfer, and post-production support.
- Keep stakeholders informed of delivery progress, decisions, issues, and dependencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience delivering or supporting banking risk, treasury, ALM, regulatory reporting, or financial technology implementations.
- Hands-on functional implementation experience with Moody’s RiskAuthority (RAY), ideally the Liquidity Risk module (RAY-LR).
- Understanding of bank liquidity risk and regulatory reporting, including LCR and liquidity stress testing; familiarity with MAS requirements is preferred.
- Experience with Moody’s RiskConfidence (RCO) or ALM solutions is an advantage, particularly for programmes involving IRRBB, balance-sheet analytics, or related stress scenarios.
- Experience across the implementation lifecycle: requirements, solution design, configuration, data mapping, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Ability to work with banking data, reconcile results, and investigate data or calculation discrepancies. SQL and relational database skills are preferred.
- Strong analytical, documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Comfortable working across business and technology teams in a complex banking environment.
