The posting

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for Spring 2027 Marketing interns in NY and LA.

NEON internships are built around real work, the kind that actually appears in the world and moves the needle for films we believe in. For students looking to break into the industry, there's no better place to learn how independent film is marketed and positioned, build meaningful connections, and get mentored by people who genuinely love what they do.

This internship is part of NEON's Undergraduate Internship Program, which gives you more than a single-team experience. Beyond working closely with your Marketing colleagues, you'll take part in structured programming, get cross-functional exposure across the company, and go through professional development alongside a cohort of fellow interns.

What makes the NEON internship different:

  • Dive Deep — Get practical experience across film distribution, from marketing and publicity to acquisitions, digital distribution, and theatrical sales.
  • Find Your Fit — We tailor your internship to your interests, placing you on projects that actually inspire you.
  • Become Part of the Team — You'll work alongside industry veterans who are serious about mentoring the next generation.

What you'll gain: Hands-on industry experience, behind-the-scenes insight into how films are brought to audiences, professional connections that outlast the semester, and the confidence to take on whatever comes next.

  • Real-world experiences that will equip you with the confidence to pursue your next endeavor

  • Developing case studies and conducting other research projects
  • Contribute ideas for creative activations, events, and promotional opportunities
  • Maintain organization across project trackers, calendars, and shared materials
  • Engaging in grassroots outreach for current and upcoming NEON releases
  • Creating comprehensive calendars for major events such as award shows, online events, and more
  • Assisting in various department projects, including distribution, acquisitions, and publicity as required, while primarily focusing on marketing initiatives
  • Providing support for special events and screenings as necessary

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
