Nephrology / Renal Medicine Advanced Trainee

Northern Territory | Major Tertiary Hospital | Full-Time

Mediix Recruitment is currently seeking expressions of interest from IMG Nephrologists and Renal Medicine Advanced Trainees for an exciting opportunity with a major tertiary hospital in the Northern Territory.

This is an excellent opportunity for an international medical graduate (IMG) who has completed a RACP assessment, as well as Australian-trained doctors currently undertaking advanced training in Renal Medicine.

The Opportunity

The role may suit:

  • International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who have undergone or are progressing through RACP assessment
  • Renal Medicine Advanced Trainees seeking a comprehensive training environment
  • Doctors interested in general nephrology, dialysis and complex renal medicine

The position offers exposure to a broad range of renal presentations, with opportunities to work across inpatient, outpatient and renal replacement therapy services.

Benefits

  • Competitive remuneration in accordance with the applicable public health award
  • Relocation assistance may be available
  • Assistance with accommodation and settling into the Northern Territory may be available
  • Support with registration and credentialing processes for eligible IMGs
  • Access to professional development and continuing medical education
  • Supportive multidisciplinary team environment

  • Excellent opportunity to develop specialist renal experience in a major tertiary service
  • Potential for longer-term career progression within the health service

About the Hospital

The hospital is a major tertiary referral centre in the Northern Territory, providing specialist services to patients from Darwin, regional communities and remote areas across the Territory.

The renal service manages a diverse and often complex caseload, providing exposure to inpatient nephrology, outpatient medicine and renal replacement therapies.

Working within a large multidisciplinary environment, doctors have the opportunity to collaborate with specialists across multiple medical and surgical disciplines while developing their clinical expertise.

Why Live in Darwin?

Darwin offers a unique lifestyle combining the benefits of a capital city with easy access to nature, beaches and outdoor activities. The city has a relaxed tropical lifestyle, with warm weather, a multicultural community and a strong connection to the Northern Territory's natural environment.

Outside work, you can explore national parks, waterfalls, fishing spots and some of Australia's most spectacular natural landscapes. Darwin is also an excellent base for exploring destinations such as Kakadu, Litchfield and the Tiwi Islands.

For doctors relocating from interstate or overseas, Darwin can offer an opportunity to build a rewarding medical career while enjoying a lifestyle that is very different from Australia's larger southern cities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
