Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 support for firewall and intrusion prevention systems (IPS)—handling setup, rule management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network and security devices deployed across multiple healthcare campuses.
  • Maintain and optimize firewall configurations and policies in alignment with security standards.
  • Respond to security incidents in coordination with the security operations team, including root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Support core network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless controllers.
  • Participate in change management processes and assist with root cause analysis for network or security-related problems.
  • Ensure SLAs are met and contribute to regular performance and incident reporting using ITSM/ITOM tools.
  • Contribute to capacity planning and system optimization efforts for both firewall and network components.
  • Maintain clear and updated documentation for configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and network policies.

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with firewall administration and enterprise network support.
  • Strong working knowledge of firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco ASA/Firepower.
  • Solid understanding of key network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF).
  • Familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems and network security monitoring tools.
  • Experience with ITSM/ITOM platforms for ticketing, incident, and change management.
  • Comfortable working across multiple sites and supporting both onsite and remote environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Preferred:

  • Certifications like CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, or Palo Alto PCNSE.
  • Background in healthcare IT or large enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and remediation processes.

Work Environment:

  • May require regular travel between healthcare facilities within a short radius.
  • Involves collaboration with onsite engineers and senior support teams.
  • Participation in after-hours support may be required based on operational needs

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
