The posting

Occupational Therapist, Home Based Care, Southern Sydney

This role is 100% home based, supporting people in aged care and people living with disability across Sydney's southern suburbs. You'll be joining a mobile allied health provider with an established, collaborative multidisciplinary team.

About the role

  • 100% adult caseload, made up of aged care (Support at Home / CHSP) and NDIS disability support
  • Home safety assessments, assistive technology prescription, home modifications and functional capacity reporting
  • Appointments scheduled within roughly a 30 minute drive of your own home base
  • Home based role, with occasional access to our clinic offices for clinic based work if needed
  • Monthly in person team meetings held at one of our clinic locations

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised intervention plans for adult clients
  • Prescribe and review assistive technology, equipment and home modifications
  • Prepare clear, well documented reports and recommendations
  • Liaise with support coordinators, case managers, families and other allied health providers
  • Contribute to a collaborative multidisciplinary team alongside Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Speech Pathologists and fellow OTs

The team

  • You'll join a wider Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology team of around 10 clinicians
  • The broader clinical team includes around 12 Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists, supported by 3 administrative staff who manage scheduling and non-clinical logistics
  • The full team meets fortnightly, alternating between in person and online sessions

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
  • Comfortable working autonomously in clients' homes, with sound clinical reasoning and reporting skills
  • Full time preferred, though 3 to 4 days a week can be considered for the right candidate
  • Own car and driver's licence

What's on offer

  • $80,000 to $85,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • $1.01 per km car allowance, plus tolls and parking reimbursed (no car is provided, but running costs are fully covered)

Why clinicians stay

  • Meaningful, hands on work, you'll see the direct impact you make in every home visit, helping clients stay safe, independent and connected to their community
  • Genuine investment in your growth, with structured mentoring, clinical advisor support and a funded professional development budget
  • Rostering built around you, considering your location, commute and personal circumstances, so the job fits your life rather than the other way around
  • Real reward for real impact, through a transparent bonus program linked to client outcomes and billable hours, plus annual loyalty rewards
  • A voice in the team, with regular team huddles, feedback sessions and a genuinely collaborative, low ego culture
  • Wellbeing built in, with anniversary leave, EAP support and a social calendar that goes beyond the annual Christmas party
  • A confidence building start, with a structured onboarding program to set you up for success from day one

Life in Sydney's southern suburbs

Beyond the role itself, the southern suburbs offer a genuinely appealing lifestyle. Think beachside living around Cronulla and Sylvania Waters, family friendly pockets like Sutherland and Miranda, and easy access to national parks, waterways and some of Sydney's best coastal walks. It's an area known for its relaxed pace, strong sense of community and relatively easy commute compared to inner Sydney, all while staying well connected to the city.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
