The posting

We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer with strong expertise in OpenShift Administration, DevOps automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud-native technologies.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience managing large-scale OpenShift environments, automating infrastructure deployments, building CI/CD pipelines, implementing GitOps-driven delivery models, and supporting cloud migration initiatives.

This role requires a strong engineering mindset with expertise across Linux, Kubernetes/OpenShift, automation, platform engineering, and enterprise infrastructure solutions. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, standardizing, and automating technology platforms while ensuring scalability, security, availability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, manage, and automate large-scale OpenShift clusters.

• Develop and implement automation solutions for platform provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.

• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, Ansible, and automation frameworks.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and support modern DevOps delivery practices.

• Implement GitOps-driven configuration management and application deployment approaches.

• Support application migration initiatives from traditional environments to cloud and container platforms.

• Design standardized technology stacks and reusable platform components.

• Develop automation solutions to enable zero-touch and unattended deployments.

• Perform platform capacity planning, performance optimization, and scalability improvements.

• Collaborate with architects, application teams, security teams, and infrastructure teams to deliver enterprise platform solutions.

• Participate in technical design discussions and provide recommendations on platform architecture.

• Troubleshoot complex platform issues related to OpenShift, Kubernetes, networking, security, and integrations.

• Support production stability by improving automation, reliability, monitoring, and operational processes.

• Contribute to engineering best practices, open-source adoption, and continuous platform improvements.

Required Technical Skills

OpenShift / Kubernetes

• Strong hands-on experience in Red Hat OpenShift Administration.

• Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and managing enterprise-scale OpenShift clusters.

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts and container technologies.

• Understanding of OpenShift virtualization (KubeVirt).

• Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator certification is preferred.

DevOps & Automation

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Terraform • Jenkins • Ansible

Experience with:

• Configuration management • Infrastructure automation • Orchestration tools • CI/CD pipeline implementation

GitOps & Deployment

• Strong understanding of GitOps-driven configuration management and deployment practices.

• Experience with:

  • ArgoCD
  • Helm Charts
  • Automated deployment workflows

Programming & Scripting

Strong scripting experience with:

• Bash • PowerShell • Python • Groovy (Jenkins pipeline scripting)

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Hands-on experience migrating applications to cloud environments.

• Understanding of cloud connectivity, SD-WAN, private connectivity, and hybrid cloud architectures.

• Strong conceptual understanding of infrastructure components and enterprise data center environments.

Networking & Security Knowledge

Experience with:

• REST/SOAP API communication concepts.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of experience in technology engineering / platform engineering roles.

• Strong experience working in large enterprise environments.

• Proven experience managing enterprise OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms.

• Experience implementing automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code solutions.

• Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in enterprise cloud transformation initiatives.

• Experience working with financial services or large-scale regulated environments.

• Exposure to SRE principles and DevOps operating models.

• Experience contributing to open-source technologies.
