The posting

At OQC, we aren’t just theorising about the future; we’re building it. Born from a philosophy of bold innovation, we’ve successfully transitioned quantum computing from an academic dream into a commercial reality. The most exciting thing is that we’re just getting started.

We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Operations Assistant to help create a smooth, welcoming and well-organised workplace experience for our teams and visitors. This role is ideally suited to someone with hospitality or customer service experience who enjoys supporting people, solving problems and keeping things running efficiently behind the scenes.

The Role

This is a hands-on, front-facing role supporting day-to-day office operations and facilities coordination across the business. Working closely with the Facilities Operations Manager, you’ll help ensure our office environment remains safe, organised and fully operational while delivering an excellent experience for employees, visitors and external stakeholders.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office environment and front-of-house experience
  • Managing visitor queries, parking requests, security concerns and concierge-style support via phone, email and in person
  • Conducting stock checks and placing orders for office supplies, stationery, food and beverages within budget
  • Arranging catering and logistics for internal meetings and external visitors
  • Supporting employee business travel bookings, itinerary changes and travel-related queries
  • Planning team events, researching venues and providing budget recommendations for approval
  • Supporting onboarding activities including office tours, inductions and health & safety briefings

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, office administration or a similar people-focused environment
  • Experience within an office environment in a supporting role such as administrator or office manager.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Comfortable handling administrative tasks and coordinating logistics
  • Confident communicator across face-to-face, phone and email interactions
  • IT literate with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • A valid UK Driving License and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.

The 'Nice-to-Haves'

  • Experience arranging travel bookings
  • Knowledge of health & safety or fire safety processes
  • Project coordination or event planning experience

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
