What you’ll be doing

  • Drive the implementation of PPWR requirements across existing and new products, including recyclability, post-consumer recycled content (PCR) and packaging minimisation.
  • Balance regulatory requirements with commercial considerations including cost, margin, quality and security of supply.
  • Lead packaging compliance audits and coordinate responses to customer and regulatory authority requests.
  • Create and maintain technical product files, declarations of conformity and supporting compliance documentation.
  • Own the accuracy, completeness, traceability and reporting readiness of packaging compliance data.
  • Monitor Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) data, packaging material composition and substances of concern, supporting reporting and fee optimisation.
  • Assess and document packaging recyclability in line with applicable legislation, standards and regulatory timelines.
  • Work closely with suppliers to secure accurate packaging specifications, technical documentation and compliance information.
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure packaging compliance requirements are understood, prioritised and implemented effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Technology, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with packaging regulation, sustainability compliance or a closely related area.
  • Good understanding of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) framework and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes.
  • Familiarity with packaging materials, manufacturing processes and packaging sustainability principles.
  • Previous experience as a Packaging Technologist and/or in packaging-related project management is highly valuable.
  • Strong capability in managing technical documentation, data and systems with a high level of accuracy.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical actions.
  • Action-oriented and self-driven approach, comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and with external suppliers.
  • Genuine interest in packaging legislation, sustainability and evolving regulatory requirements.

Benefits

  • Apart from a competitive salary pack, there are lots of growth opportunities to meet your personal ambitions
  • Flexible schedule and life work balance
  • Responsibility for exciting and challenging projects that have a direct, visible impact on our customers and the industry
  • Very positive work environment in a young, international, and motivated team
  • Start-up spirit while being a part of the large international organization with strong values

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
