The role

We have an opportunity due to a parental leave cover, for a fixed term Spare Parts Picker-Packer / General Hand to join our knowledgeable and experienced Parts team and be supported by great training and shared expertise across the business. Reporting to the Spare Parts Supervisor and working within the Auckland Parts team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the efficient and effective daily operations of our Auckland Parts Store in the supply of parts for Auckland and Northland.

The role is primarily focused on supporting the Parts Store with the picking and dispatching of parts orders, receipt of inwards goods, stocktaking and replenishing Van and branch stock around the wider Auckland region. You’ll be responsible for picking accuracy and ensuring that the PDC is always tidy and neatly maintained to ensure health & safety as well as the efficient operation of the department.

You'll help with ensuring efficient and effective service to our Workshop and Field Service technicians and supporting the Sales team with orders to ensure customer expectations are met. You’ll be required to action spare parts requisitions daily and prioritise any back orders or urgent jobs, as well as assembling and occasionally delivering parts packages to our Field or Site Technicians.

This is a fixed term (12 months), fulltime role based in our Auckland branch in East Tamaki.

Requirements

About you

To shine in this role, you’ll bring your positive and solutions-focused attitude and strong attention-to-detail skills, along with your drive to meet targets. We’re looking for someone with experience in a busy parts operation, preferably in the automotive, industrial service or mechanical manufacturing sectors. You’ll be a collaborative and supportive team player and have great customer service and confident communication skills when it comes to dealing with your internal and external stakeholders. Your good time management skills and IT savvy will help you enter this role.
