The posting

About the Role

We are an international broker. Our clients fund and withdraw through approximately 60 payment methods across Asia, Africa, LATAM, and the Middle East.

Payments Product is now a standalone function, and we are building the team around it. This is an early core hire.

We are looking for a Payment Integration Manager who will own payment integrations end to end—from the initial technical call with a provider through to stable production.

You will also be the first line of response for every payment incident and the person responsible for deciding whether a new integration is ready to go live.

This is a technical operations role rather than a coordination role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payment Provider Onboarding & Integration

  • Manage the full onboarding cycle for new payment providers, including:
  • Initial technical calls
  • Credentials and sandbox access
  • Configuration and test design
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Production launch
  • Post-release stabilisation
  • Define integration acceptance standards and own the go/no-go decision before launch.
  • Review provider API documentation and translate it into implementation-ready specifications for engineering, covering edge cases, failure paths, and confirmation model behaviour.

2. Payment Incident Management

  • Own the first-line response for payment incidents, including:
  • Failed and stuck transactions
  • Unconfirmed payments
  • Payment method-level anomalies
  • Investigate and drive incidents to resolution rather than simply escalating them.
  • Diagnose provider-side versus platform-side issues using logs, API responses, and transaction data.
  • Communicate findings clearly to providers, engineers, and internal stakeholders.

3. Technical Testing & Verification

  • Perform hands-on verification of payment integrations.
  • Conduct manual checkout testing across mobile and desktop.
  • Verify callbacks and API behaviour using Postman or equivalent tools.
  • Execute SQL queries to investigate transaction data.
  • Validate asynchronous payment statuses, confirmation models, redirect flows, and failure scenarios.

4. Payment Method & Provider Catalogue

  • Maintain a comprehensive catalogue of payment methods and providers, documenting:
  • Supported capabilities
  • Available integration types
  • Completed testing
  • Known failure modes
  • Build the initial capability inventory of all live payment methods and providers.
  • Convert ambiguous provider documentation and undocumented operational knowledge into actionable specifications.

5. Payment Performance Analysis

Produce a 90-day breakdown of deposit attempts, categorised by outcome:

  • Completed transactions
  • Declined by the provider
  • Abandoned by the user
  • Abandoned during redirect
  • Completed but never confirmed back to the platform

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in payments, PSP integrations, or fintech platforms, with hands-on ownership of integrations rather than coordination alone.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, asynchronous payment statuses, callback mechanics, confirmation models, redirect flows, and common failure modes.
  • Ability to review provider API specifications and identify missing information.
  • Experience using Postman or equivalent tools for API testing.
  • Experience performing structured checkout testing across mobile and desktop.
  • Proven ability to investigate live payment incidents using logs and API responses.
  • Ability to distinguish provider-side issues from platform-side problems.
  • Experience translating incomplete or ambiguous technical documentation into clear specifications for engineering.
  • Strong communication skills and composure during incidents.
  • Basic knowledge of using AI tools in daily work.
  • Working proficiency in both English and Russian, as both languages are used daily.

What Success Looks Like in the First Year

  1. First Few Months — Operational Ownership
  2. Take ownership of first-line payment incidents, build the payment method and provider catalogue using documentation and direct investigation, and produce the 90-day deposit attempt analysis.
  3. By Mid-Year — Integration Acceptance Standards
  4. Establish the integration acceptance framework and apply it to a live provider onboarding process, from initial engagement through production launch.
  5. Second Half — Established Processes & Decision-MakingAs the team expands, a Systems Analyst will assume responsibility for formal verification, while the integration acceptance gate remains under your ownership.
  6. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date provider catalogue, ensure the integration acceptance gate is fully operational, and take ownership of incident-related decisions.

Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process consists of four stages:

  1. HR Interview: Background, motivation, and overall role alignment.
  2. Technical Interview: Payment integration knowledge, technical tools, hands-on experience, and incident diagnosis.
  3. Product & Problem-Solving Interview: Integration decisions, prioritisation, and practical problem-solving.
  4. Final Interview: Discussion with senior stakeholder.

Benefits

  • Fixed monthly compensation of [depending on experience]
  • Fully remote work within GMT to GMT+4, with no relocation required
  • End-to-end ownership of a provider from first call to production, and the go or no-go decision on every integration
  • Scope that grows with the business: cards, alternative payment methods, a card programme and new entities
  • Corporate AI tooling as part of the working process

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
