Working as part of the People Ops team, this role provides day-to-day HR coordination across areas such as onboarding, employee records, HR administration, employee support, and engagement. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of hands-on HR experience, including onboarding, and is looking to build their career by gaining exposure to a broad range of HR functions within a collaborative team environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is highly organized, and wants to develop their HR skills while contributing to projects and initiatives across the studio.

Term: Full-time, 1 year contract (subject to extension)

Target Start Date: Late October to early November

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, depending on business needs

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate weekly onboarding and offboarding, from pre-boarding, orientation, documentation, system access, and team integration; liaise with Recruitment, IT, Payroll, and Production to ensure a consistent employee experience.
  • Manage day-to-day HR administration and maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date employee records in Rippling and other People Ops systems.
  • Audit contracts, time-off balances, personal information, and other employment records regularly; track artist retention status and help ensure contract extensions are confirmed, submitted, and signed.
  • Build strong relationships with artists and be their go-to contact for questions, guidance, and support, connecting them with the right People Ops team member when needed.
  • Respond to employee and manager requests promptly, escalating matters to the appropriate People Ops team member when needed.
  • Coordinate performance reviews, exit interviews, employee engagement activities, and other recurring HR programs and processes.
  • Support employee communications and People & Culture initiatives, including learning and development programs, engagement surveys, benefits info sessions and other studio-wide projects.
  • Support the People Ops Lead in weekly meetings with production leaders and follow up on related employee and contract matters.
  • Identify and help implement improvements to HR processes, documentation, and employee experience.
  • Handle confidential employee information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment, and provide other administrative support to the People Ops team as needed.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • 1–2 years of direct HR experience, ideally in an HR Coordinator, People & Culture Coordinator, HR Administrator, or similar role.
  • Experience working across multiple areas of HR, with hands-on onboarding experience being essential.
  • Experience working as part of an HR or People team within a mid-sized organization.
  • Exposure to a range of HR processes such as employee records, onboarding and offboarding, HR administration, employee support, engagement, performance processes, or HR programs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and colleagues across the organization.
  • A high degree of professionalism, discretion, and good judgment when handling confidential and sensitive employee information.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, HRIS platforms, and other HR systems. Experience with Rippling is an asset.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple internal teams such as Recruitment, IT, Payroll, managers, or operations teams.
  • Experience providing employee-facing support or acting as a first point of contact for HR-related questions.
  • A proactive, service-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new areas of responsibility.
  • An interest in developing a broad HR skill set and contributing to projects beyond day-to-day administration.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 2 days per week on-site, including in-studio attendance during onboarding and predetermined Rush Weeks.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
