$5,000/month base + commission ·

GoClose connects California homeowners with the right solar installer. We buy high-intent leads, talk to every homeowner within minutes, and hand qualified, excited homeowners to state-licensed field reps who close in person. The founder has been doing this seat himself. This hire replaces him in it, and it's the first of several seats as the company scales.

The role:

You're the first human voice a homeowner hears. They've just asked about solar; you call them within five minutes, earn their trust fast, and close them on an in-home appointment with a licensed specialist, the same day or the next.

You don't do paperwork, site visits or contracts. Your job is to make the homeowner believe it's real, get them genuinely excited, and make sure they show up for the appointment.

  • Start the day by clearing overnight texts and voicemails (an AI answers after hours; you pick up the conversations).
  • Call every new lead within five minutes. New leads always come first.
  • Work the follow-up sequence by call and text until every lead has been spoken to.
  • Book the appointment, then hand it off with a short voice-note game plan: what matters to this homeowner, what they're worried about, what will close them.
  • Coordinate directly with the field reps when appointments move or details change.
  • The numbers behind the seat: about 7 in 10 leads pick up, almost all of those book when they're handled well, and the field reps close most of the appointments they're sent.
  • Calls are 5 to 10 minutes. You dial one person at a time, set up however you work best (desk phone and headset, or your own phone and AirPods).
  • The CRM is simple; mostly voice notes.

Who this is for:

  • Ethical and honest, first and last. You do right by the homeowner. If it isn't right for them, you say so.
  • Someone who builds trust fast on the phone, calmly and credibly, not with pressure. Experienced on the phone with homeowners or consumers: inbound sales, appointment setting, solar, home improvement, insurance or similar.
  • US-based with fluent, natural English.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset. This is a small, founder-led company that's growing seat by seat.

  • Anyone who'd push a homeowner into something that isn't right for them.
  • Anyone who needs a dialer blasting eight lines to feel productive.
  • This is one conversation at a time, done well.
  • Offshore candidates.

Compensation

  • $5,000 per month base.
  • Commission on every deal that closes, on top of base.
  • On-target earnings of $17,000 to $20,000 per month.
  • Paid weekly.
  • Independent contractor.

Reporting

Reports directly to the founder. You'll also work closely with the field reps you hand appointments to.
