CE QUE NOUS RECHERCHONS

Le ou la Planificateur(trice) – Vente en gros et demande est responsable de la planification de la marchandise, des prévisions et de la gestion des inventaires afin de maximiser les ventes et la rentabilité sur l’ensemble des canaux de distribution.

Ce rôle agit comme un lien stratégique entre les équipes de marchandisage, des ventes et de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, afin d’assurer une disponibilité optimale des produits, tout en minimisant les surplus d’inventaire.

RESPONSABILITÉS

Planification et prévisions

  • Développer et maintenir les plans de marchandisage et les prévisions de ventes afin d’anticiper la demande future
  • Suivre la précision des prévisions et mettre en place des mesures d’amélioration continue
  • Calculer et gérer les budgets d’achats ouverts (Open-to-Buy) par catégorie, saison et canal de distribution
  • Suivre les engagements d’achats par rapport aux plans Open-to-Buy
  • Ajuster les plans d’achats en fonction des ventes réelles, des niveaux d’inventaire et des tendances du marché
  • Analyser, résumer et communiquer les écarts entre le réel et le planifié
  • Soutenir les lancements de nouveaux produits par des prévisions initiales et la planification de la montée en demande

Analyse et rapports

  • Analyser la performance des ventes et identifier les opportunités de croissance
  • Préparer et présenter les prévisions de ventes, les indicateurs de performance et les rapports d’inventaire
  • Fournir des analyses et rapports ad hoc au besoin
  • Produire des rapports réguliers sur les principaux indicateurs de performance

Gestion des inventaires

  • Suivre les niveaux d’inventaire et coordonner les stratégies de réapprovisionnement
  • Collaborer avec les équipes de production et de logistique afin d’assurer des livraisons dans les délais
  • Gérer les inventaires afin de maximiser la disponibilité des produits tout en minimisant les coûts de possession

Analyse des coûts et des marges

  • Réviser et analyser les coûts des produits afin d’en assurer l’exactitude
  • Suivre la marge brute (GM) et la marge de contribution (CM) par produit, catégorie et canal
  • Suivre et analyser l’impact des droits de douane et des tarifs sur les coûts et les marges

Partenariat d’affaires

  • Établir et maintenir de solides relations avec les clients de vente en gros et les équipes internes
  • Participer aux rencontres de planification d’affaires avec les clients de vente en gros
  • Fournir des recommandations et des analyses de planification afin de soutenir les décisions stratégiques
  • Animer des rencontres transversales afin d’aligner les prévisions de la demande et les stratégies d’inventaire
  • Collaborer avec les équipes de ventes pour comprendre les besoins des clients et les calendriers promotionnels
  • Travailler étroitement avec le marchandisage sur la planification des assortiments, les achats saisonniers et la gestion du cycle de vie des produits

EXIGENCES ET COMPÉTENCES

  • 5 ans et plus d’expérience en planification au détail/vente en gros, planification de la demande ou planification de la marchandise
  • Expérience avec des comptes américains du mass market
  • Fortes aptitudes analytiques; rigueur et précision essentielles
  • Maîtrise avancée d’Excel (tableaux croisés dynamiques, RECHERCHEV/VLOOKUP, formules complexes)
  • Baccalauréat en administration, finance, chaîne d’approvisionnement ou domaine connexe — un atout
  • Expérience en gestion d’inventaire et prévision de la demande
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles, avec la capacité de traduire des données complexes en insights actionnables
  • Très grand souci du détail et excellentes compétences organisationnelles
  • Capacité à travailler en collaboration avec plusieurs départements
  • Expérience dans des environnements de vente en gros ou de distribution multicanal
  • Expérience avec des systèmes ERP et des outils d’intelligence d’affaires
  • Connaissance des tendances de l’industrie de la mode/du commerce de détail et de la saisonnalité
  • Succès démontré en optimisation des inventaires
  • Excellentes capacités de résolution de problèmes et sens aigu des affaires

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The Wholesale/Demand Planner is responsible for merchandise planning, forecasting, and inventory management to maximize sales and profitability across all channels. This role bridges merchandising, sales, and supply chain operations to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning and Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain merchandise plans and forecasts to predict future product demand
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement measures
  • Calculate and manage open-to-buy budgets by category, season, and channel
  • Monitor purchase commitments against open to buy plans
  • Adjust buying plans based on sales performance, inventory levels, and market trends
  • Recap, analyze and communicate actual to plan results
  • Support new product launches with initial forecasting and demand ramp-up planning

Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance metrics, and inventory reports
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Prepare regular reports on key performance metrics

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment strategies
  • Partner with production and logistics to ensure timely product delivery
  • Manage inventory levels to maximize product availability while minimizing carrying costs

Costing Analysis

  • Review and analyze product costing to ensure accuracy
  • Monitor gross margin (GM) and contribution margin (CM) performance by product, category, and channel
  • Track and analyze the impact of tariffs and duties on product costs and margins

Business Partnering

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale customers and internal teams
  • Participate in business planning meetings with wholesale customers
  • Provide planning insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to align on demand forecasts and inventory strategies
  • Partner with sales teams to understand customer needs, and promotional calendars
  • Collaborate with merchandising on assortment planning, seasonal buys, and product lifecycle management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in retail/wholesale planning, demand planning, or merchandise planning
  • Experience working with US mass market accounts
  • Strong analytical aptitudes, must be precise and rigorous
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field is an asset
  • Experience with inventory management and demand forecasting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
  • Experience in wholesale or multi-channel distribution environments
  • Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools
  • Knowledge of fashion/retail industry trends and seasonality
  • Demonstrated success in inventory optimization
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and business acumen
