Description

We are looking for a Pre-Sales Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Irving, Texas. In this role, you will serve as a key technical advisor during the sales process, working closely with both internal teams and prospective clients to design, present, and validate tailored connectivity solutions.

You will bridge the gap between customer requirements and Teltonika Networks’ technical capabilities, helping drive successful solution adoption while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Teltonika’s Networking Solutions Business Unit develops and manufactures industrial and enterprise connectivity equipment, including routers, switches, gateways, and modems. Our devices power critical applications across Industry 4.0, Smart City, and Green Energy sectors.

This role is ideal for a technically driven professional who enjoys combining engineering expertise with customer engagement in a fast-growing global IoT organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a technical pre-sales advisor, supporting the sales team in customer engagements, solution design, and deal qualification.
  • Spend approximately 50% of your time in client-facing activities, including meetings, presentations, demos, and workshops.
  • Travel up to 50% to customer sites, partner locations, and industry events.
  • Consult clients and internal stakeholders on device- and solution-related technical topics.
  • Design and propose end-to-end IoT and networking solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) deployments.
  • Support integration of Teltonika Networks products into customer environments through hands-on guidance.
  • Collaborate with sales, product management, and R&D teams to align solutions with market needs.
  • Identify customer pain points and proactively recommend optimized technical solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, proposals, and solution architectures.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during pre-sales and pilot phases.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and Teltonika Networks R&D for complex technical requirements.
  • Work hands-on with Linux-based systems, industrial protocols, networking technologies, and third-party integrations.

Requirements

What we expect of you:

  • Technical or engineering degree (Networking, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical role is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and internet technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/FTP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of telecommunication systems, including cellular technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, LTE).
  • Hands-on experience with routers and networking equipment.
  • Experience configuring:
  • VLANs and QoS
  • VPN technologies (IPSec, L2TP, OpenVPN, DMVPN, SSTP)
  • Firewalls (IPTABLES or similar)
  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems, preferably OpenWRT or embedded environments.
  • Ability to create clear, structured technical documentation and solution designs.
  • Scripting basics (bash/ash) and understanding of AT commands.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with industrial networking or IoT deployments is a strong advantage.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work model based out of our Irving, Texas office.
  • Great opportunities to grow in a strong and rapidly expanding IoT company.
  • Structured onboarding and training on Teltonika’s internal systems, sales processes, and product-related topics, with continuous feedback and development support.
  • Long-term career growth opportunities, including increased seniority or progression into Team Lead roles.
  • Three weeks of paid vacation.
  • Six sick days plus an extra day off on your birthday.
  • Multicultural and diverse work environment that values knowledge sharing, collaboration, and a positive team culture.
  • Internal knowledge-sharing sessions to support continuous professional growth.
  • Team-building activities that foster trust, engagement, and collaboration.
  • Standard working hours.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
