The posting

We are looking for a Private Chef with 3+ years of professional experience to work in a demanding private household environment.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Is calm, patient and resilient under pressure.
  • Is comfortable working with a client who has very specific and changing food preferences.
  • Can receive direct and demanding feedback professionally and without taking it personally.
  • Is highly adaptable and willing to adjust dishes, menus and preparation according to the client's preferences.
  • Has excellent attention to detail and consistently maintains high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Is extremely clean, organized and disciplined in the kitchen.
  • Works in a quiet, discreet and respectful manner.
  • Is emotionally mature and able to remain professional in challenging or stressful situations.
  • Takes pride in delivering consistent results and meeting demanding expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute daily meals and private dinners, tailoring every experience to the household's preferences, dietary requirements, and seasonal produce.
  • Own end-to-end kitchen operations, including menu planning, ingredient sourcing, supplier management, stock control, and kitchen hygiene, maintaining the highest food safety standards.
  • Maintain a high level of consistency, precision, cleanliness, and attention to detail in every aspect of food preparation and service.
  • Adapt menus, recipes, and preparation methods quickly and professionally based on the household's preferences and direct feedback.
  • Maintain an organized, discreet, and quiet working environment, respecting the privacy and routines of the household.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional culinary experience, with proven ability to work independently and take ownership of kitchen operations.
  • Should have strong practical knowledge and experience preparing gluten-free, sugar-free, and grain-free meals, with a solid understanding of cross-contamination, ingredient sourcing, food labels, and suitable substitutions.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, written and spoken — essential for this role.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple international cuisines, nutrition, allergen management, and specialist dietary requirements.
  • Current HACCP and food-handler certification.
  • Absolute discretion, professionalism, patience, and trustworthiness.
  • Proven ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, including when receiving direct or demanding feedback.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with exceptional attention to detail and a natural drive to exceed expectations without being asked.
  • Highly organized, clean, disciplined, and discreet, with excellent kitchen hygiene standards.
