Product Designer – UX/UI, Figma & Design Systems | Remote

Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Product Designer to create intuitive, scalable, and visually polished digital experiences across web and mobile products.

This is not a purely visual UI design role. You’ll own the product design process from user research and UX flows through wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity interfaces, design systems, and developer handoff.

You’ll work closely with product managers and engineers to simplify complex workflows and create experiences that are functional, accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with business goals.

If you combine strong UX thinking, UI craftsmanship, product problem-solving, and Figma expertise, this role is a strong fit.

What You’ll Own

User Research & Product Discovery

  • Conduct user interviews, usability tests, surveys, and product research
  • Identify user pain points, friction, and product improvement opportunities
  • Create:
  • Personas
  • Journey maps
  • User flows
  • Interaction models
  • Analyze user behavior using tools such as:
  • Mixpanel
  • Amplitude
  • Hotjar
  • Translate research and product insights into actionable design decisions

UX Design & Product Flows

  • Design intuitive workflows across web and mobile products
  • Translate product requirements into:

  • Simplify complex interactions into clear, easy-to-use experiences
  • Consider edge cases and different user states throughout the design process
  • Iterate quickly based on user, product, and stakeholder feedback

UI Design & Prototyping

  • Create polished, high-fidelity product interfaces using:
  • Figma
  • Adobe XD
  • Sketch
  • Design responsive experiences across:
  • Desktop
  • Tablet
  • Mobile
  • Establish clear:
  • Visual hierarchy
  • Interaction patterns
  • Micro-interactions
  • Interface consistency
  • Balance visual quality with usability and product functionality

Design Systems & Scalability

  • Build and maintain scalable design systems
  • Develop reusable component libraries
  • Define standards for:
  • Typography
  • Spacing
  • Color
  • Icons
  • Components
  • UI patterns
  • Maintain consistency across products and features
  • Improve collaboration between design and engineering through structured systems

Product & Engineering Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product Managers to define requirements and priorities
  • Collaborate with engineers throughout implementation

  • Run or support A/B tests to validate design decisions
  • Analyze product performance and identify UX improvements
  • Continuously iterate to improve:
  • Usability
  • Engagement
  • Retention
  • Task completion

Required Experience & Skills

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
