The posting

Join Page Vault as a Product Engineer on our Stencil Team, where you'll design, build, and maintain innovative trademark tools that serve the legal industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex front-end and back-end challenges, delivering features that directly impact how legal professionals gather and preserve online evidence.

You'll work closely with customers, designers, and other engineers to create reliable, high-quality software solutions that push the boundaries of trademark technology.

About Page Vault

At Page Vault, we build tools that make legal work faster, smarter, and more reliable. Our products help lawyers automate time-consuming tasks, from capturing web evidence to preparing trademark applications and managing digital materials.

We’re a fully remote team that values ownership, curiosity, and solid engineering craft. We’re expanding our Stencil team to create new products that simplify legal workflows and push the boundaries of what legal tech can do.

About Stencil

At Stencil, we are building the first Trademark Prosecution Operating System. We help attorneys and paralegals draft USPTO-compliant applications, collect specimens, convert legacy IDs, and prep renewals in a fraction of the time, turning 90-minute tasks into 10-minute ones. We give attorneys back the time to focus on judgment over production.

Your Responsibilities

  • Discover, ideate, build, and launch product enhancements to drive value for Stencil customers. Your goal is to solve problems, get to customer learning quick, and iterate as needed.
  • Collaborate with customers, your team, and other internal stakeholders to guide product decisions and enable the company to communicate and support product changes.
  • Develop and maintain core components of the Stencil platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Contribute to design discussions and code reviews to maintain high code quality and best practices.

Requirements

  • Significant experience as a full-stack engineer, product manager, UX designer, or other related technical field. If you do not have formal software engineering experience, you have a demonstrated record of building and shipping code with AI tools (Claude Code, cursor, etc.)
  • You drive impact quickly and efficiently - you identify problems, propose solutions, build tests, measure results, and decide next steps based on what you’ve learned
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar, and are excited to incorporate them daily into your work
  • High ownership mentality: self-directed, full-lifecycle builder who takes a feature from idea to shipped
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment
  • For applicants at the senior and staff levels, proven experience in leading projects spanning multiple quarters, mentoring employees, and shaping technical or product strategy is essential

Benefits

  • Fully remote work, with two or three in-person team meetups each year.
  • Competitive compensation. Target range is $150,000 - $180,000
  • Flexible PTO, unlimited sick days, and paid parental leave for all parents.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus a 401(k) with employer contribution.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
