This is not a traditional product management role. It combines technical acoustics expertise with commercial thinking, product development, and market growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Vitragroup’s initial acoustic product range
  • Identify products, materials, substrates, and components required for market entry
  • Research market trends, competitors, pricing, and customer requirements
  • Develop product positioning and commercial strategies
  • Provide technical acoustic advice to customers, architects, engineers, and sales teams

  • Work with accredited testing laboratories on product testing and certification
  • Ensure products meet relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements, and industry expectations
  • Lead new product development and continuous improvement
  • Evaluate new materials, technologies, and manufacturing methods
  • Develop technical specifications, installation guides, and product documentation
  • Support product specifications on major construction projects
  • Deliver technical presentations and product training
  • Build relationships with architects, acoustic consultants, engineers, and key customers
  • Identify new market opportunities and support commercial growth

About You

You’re an experienced acoustics professional who understands both the technical side of acoustic products and what it takes to bring products successfully to market.

You’ll bring:

  • Extensive experience in the acoustics industry, ideally within building products, architectural acoustics, or construction acoustics
  • Strong understanding of acoustic materials, substrates, grades, classes, and applications
  • Strong knowledge of acoustic principles, testing methodologies, and performance requirements
  • Experience interpreting acoustic laboratory reports and test data
  • Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC requirements relating to acoustics
  • Experience in product management, product development, technical support, or a similar role
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of product pricing and market positioning
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders

Qualifications

A tertiary qualification in Acoustic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.

Significant industry experience and demonstrated technical expertise in acoustics will also be considered.

Why Join Vitragroup?

  • New role with the opportunity to shape an entire product category
  • Lead Vitragroup’s expansion into the growing architectural acoustics market
  • Work directly with senior leadership and key industry stakeholders
  • Influence product strategy, development, testing, and commercial positioning
  • Opportunity to build something from the ground up
  • Full-time position based in Emu Plains or Mona Vale, NSW

If you’re an acoustics specialist looking for the opportunity to combine technical expertise with product strategy and commercial growth, this is a role where you can make a real impact.

Apply now and help Vitragroup build its next generation of acoustic products.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
