About GoTymeX
GoTymeX is the engineering, product, and design organisation that builds the digital products powering the GoTyme Group. Our product culture is customer-first, data-driven with an emphasis on end-to-end ownership of the customer experience and its success.
About the product
The Investments and Digital Assets Portfolio is where GoTyme brings wealth-building to customers who have historically been locked out of it. Within it, the Investments pod owns the Group's Digital Assets, and Equities products today, with additional asset classes on the horizon. This team owns the experience that let's a first-time investor buy their first share or their first coin in a few taps, with the safety, transparency and regulatory substance they expect from their bank.
The pod operates with the speed of a startup, backed by the resources of a multi-country group. It shares infrastructure with our wider digital-asset portfolio (custody, wallets, ledgering, screening and on-chain settlement), so there is real scope to build once and scale across products and markets.
The Role
We are looking for a Product Owner to join the Investments pod and own the roadmap and delivery of our trading products. You will sit at the intersection of retail banking, capital markets and crypto, turning complex market and digital-asset mechanics into experiences that feel as simple as the rest of a banking app for a mass-market customer.
The role is hands-on. You will own the backlog, write the user stories, run the sprint cadence, drive partner and vendor integrations, and be accountable for what ships and for how it performs after launch. The successful candidate has shipped regulated consumer financial products at the quality bar regulators demand, and is comfortable working across both traditional securities and crypto.
What you will do
- Own the product backlog end-to-end: translate the proposition into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritise against time-to-market, regulatory constraint and customer value.
- Own the customer experience across the trading lifecycle for stocks, crypto, and future asset classes: onboarding and suitability, funding, order placement and execution, portfolio and holdings, statements, tax and regulatory reporting, and servicing.
- Translate between capital markets, crypto and retail banking. Convert market mechanics (order types, market hours, settlement cycles, corporate actions, fractional ownership) and digital-asset mechanics (custody, multi-chain support, screening and Travel Rule, on-chain settlement) into product experiences a first-time investor can use. Equally, translate retail banking expectations (KYC step-up, dispute handling, regulatory reporting, AML monitoring, ledgering) into requirements our brokerage, exchange and infrastructure partners can build against.
- Drive partner and vendor integration. You will own the product-side relationship with brokers, liquidity providers, custodians and market data providers, treating each partner as part of the user experience rather than a black box behind it.
- Define and track success: set product KPIs (activation, funded accounts, trading volumes, retention, revenue per user), run experiments and use data to decide what to build next.
- Work with the wider digital-asset teams to reuse shared infrastructure (custody, wallets, ledgering, screening) and avoid duplicating capability across pods.
- A global-by-design mindset, the ability to make product, technical and compliance decisions with multi-jurisdiction scalability baked in from day one, avoiding local-first shortcuts that create rework, regulatory exposure or architectural debt as the product expands across markets.
- Establish an AI-native product practice with modern tooling as the default.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Compliance, Legal, Marketing and the existing GoTyme product organisations to deliver a coherent, regulated proposition across multiple jurisdictions.
Why join
- A zero-to-one opportunity inside a fast-growing group; the upside of greenfield and the support of an experienced team.
- Best-in-class partners across the infrastructure stack.
- Join a company that is scaling globally and responsibly, with access to tier-1 partners and vendors.
- Compensation aligned to a regulated fintech with quality benefits.
Requirements
Must-have
- 5+ years of product experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with demonstrable end-to-end ownership of consumer-facing products that shipped to production and scaled post-launch to drive revenue.
- The ability to translate Investment/trading product requirements in to formulas that are ready for our engineering team to pick up and build according to this file.
- Working knowledge of crypto and digital assets: custody, wallets, exchanges and on-chain mechanics, and how they differ from traditional securities.
- Hands-on experience launching and scaling traditional asset classes, including stocks, ETFs, funds and commodities, for retail investment businesses, from product design and regulatory alignment through to go-live and growth.
- Financial services experience. You have shipped regulated retail products, ideally in investing, brokerage, trading, wealth or payments.
- Hands-on agile product discipline: clear user stories, crisp acceptance criteria, relentless prioritisation, and fluency in Jira, Confluence, or equivalent tools.
- Multi-vendor orchestration experience, including API-first integration approaches, vendor roadmap and SLA management, and a credible voice in commercial discussions.
- Technical literacy across the stack. You can review API docs, sketch a sequence diagram, and engage teams with domain expertise across a range of product concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and synthesise emerging trends across investing, crypto, blockchain and fintech, with a track record of translating market developments into actionable product decisions.
- Experience operating inside regulated fintechs, ideally across multiple jurisdictions; comfort working with compliance, risk and regulators.
- An AI-native operating mode. You use AI tooling as a default, you have shipped with it, and you have an opinion on how it changes product workflow and delivery cadence.
- A 'build like a founder' approach; start-up or scale-up experience, hands-on with the product, comfortable with ambiguity, and biased to ship.
- Proactive self-starter who consistently surfaces original ideas and strategic recommendations, rather than waiting for direction, bringing solutions, not just execution.
Strong plus
- You have shipped a regulated retail trading, brokerage or crypto exchange product live to customers.
- Hands-on production experience across one or more of: brokerage and order management systems, market data, custody and settlement, portfolio and ledger management, wallet infrastructure, identity, fraud and risk systems including AML and Travel Rule tooling.
- Experience in emerging-market or mass-market investing, including onboarding first-time investors and building trust and financial education into the product.
- Experience with fractional investing, recurring investment plans, or tokenised assets.
- Experience as one of the founding product hires on a new product or business line.
- Hands-on experience designing crypto-native financial products such as staking or earn propositions.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary aligned to seniority and market.
- Performance-based bonus.
- Hybrid or fully remote working, with the requirement to operate in an APAC timezone.
- Quarterly travel to Ho Chi Minh City (covered by the company, if not full-time in Ho Chi Minh City) for all-hands and team in-person time.
- Generous annual leave, plus public holidays in your country of residence.
- A learning and development budget, including paid certifications and conference attendance.
