The posting

A leading company in the satellite and space technology sector is seeking a Production Reliability Engineer to join its operations in Athens. The role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and consistency of satellite subassembly production, implementing preventive quality practices and driving continuous improvement to ensure compliance with demanding space-grade manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee subassembly production activities, ensuring compliance with defined quality requirements, approved manufacturing processes, technical specifications, and operational standards.
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans, quality checklists, control plans, and verification procedures in close collaboration with Engineering and Production teams.
  • Lead and support Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and other risk assessment activities to proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate production and quality risks.
  • Investigate production issues and non-conformances, perform structured root cause analysis, and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor key production and quality indicators, including yields, process capability, defects, rework trends, and quality escapes, identifying improvement opportunities and early warning signals.
  • Ensure appropriate implementation of operator self-verification, in-process inspections, material handling, equipment calibration, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness requirements throughout production.
  • Support production readiness and change management activities, ensuring that quality requirements, verification processes, and outstanding non-conformances are appropriately addressed before implementation.
  • Partner closely with AIT Engineering, Production, Quality, and other technical teams to improve manufacturing processes, strengthen product reliability, and promote continuous improvement and quality ownership across production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline; equivalent practical experience in a high-reliability production environment may also be considered.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Production Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Reliability, or a similar role within electronics, aerospace, defense, or another high-reliability manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and subassembly processes, including assembly, soldering, bonding/gluing, testing, inspection methodologies, process control, and workmanship requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with quality and problem-solving methodologies such as PFMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA, combined with strong risk-based thinking.
  • Knowledge of quality and manufacturing standards and practices, including ESD/FOD control, cleanliness requirements and, ideally, ECSS, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or comparable high-reliability standards.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret production and quality metrics and translate findings into practical improvement actions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to train, guide, and influence technicians and engineers across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluency in English, combined with a hands-on, proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced production environment.

Benefits

  • Annual Gross Compensation: Base Salary €40.000 - €60.000
  • Career development and growth opportunities

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
