The posting

1. JOB PURPOSE

Supervise and control the day-to-day operation of the Copper Rod CCR line to achieve the required production quantity, quality, safety, and efficiency targets.

Ensure the CCR line is operated according to the approved production plan, operating procedures, and process parameters, while minimizing downtime, scrap, and production losses.

Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Process, and other support functions to ensure stable and continuous production.

3 - OPERATING ENVIRONMENT

· Continuous production environment.

· Responsible for direct supervision of the CCR production area during the assigned shift.

· Works closely with Maintenance, Quality, Process, Warehouse, and Planning teams.

· Required to respond quickly to equipment, process, quality, and production abnormalities.

· Work may involve high-temperature equipment, molten copper, rotating machinery, electrical equipment, and other manufacturing hazards.

· Must strictly follow PPE, safety procedures, and company operating standards.

Requirements

1. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / TRAINING

· Technical diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, or related field.

· Proven experience in a production supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.

· Experience in copper rod production, CCR/Properzi process, casting, rolling, or similar continuous production process is preferred.

· Good understanding of production processes, equipment operation, and quality control requirements.

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Good communication and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to analyze production data, downtime, quality issues, and process performance.

· Good understanding of safety procedures and manufacturing standards.

3- JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES AND CURRENT OBJECTIVES

· Supervise the CCR line operation during the assigned shift and ensure continuous and stable production.

· Ensure production is carried out according to the Production Order (PO), production plan, and required specifications.

· Monitor and control the CCR process from raw material feeding through melting, holding furnace, casting/upcasting, rod production, coiling, and final handling.

· Ensure correct feeding and availability of cathode, recycled copper, and other required materials for production.

· Monitor critical process parameters and ensure they remain within the approved operating range.

· Monitor furnace, casting, upcast, cooling, coiling, and related equipment performance.

· Monitor production output, line speed, yield, scrap, downtime, and OEE during the shift.

· Identify abnormal conditions at an early stage and take immediate action to prevent production stoppage or quality problems.

· Coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns, equipment abnormalities, and required corrective actions.

· Coordinate with Process and Quality teams to investigate and resolve quality problems such as rod cracks, surface defects, dimensional variation, conductivity issues, and other non-conformities.

· Ensure proper start-up, shutdown, changeover, and operating procedures are followed.

· Ensure production operators follow approved work instructions, safety procedures, and process standards.

· Monitor and control production losses, including scrap, rejected material, downtime, and off-specification production.

· Ensure proper recording of production quantities, raw material consumption, scrap, downtime, equipment problems, and other shift information.

· Prepare and submit accurate shift production reports and highlight major issues requiring management attention.

· Ensure proper communication and handover between shifts, including outstanding equipment, process, quality, and production issues.

· Train and guide operators and helpers on CCR operation, safety, quality requirements, and standard operating procedures.

· Maintain good housekeeping and 5S within the CCR production area.

· Ensure safe working practices and immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents.

· Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions for repeated production, quality, and equipment problems.

· Support continuous improvement activities to increase production capacity, OEE, yield, and equipment reliability.

· Maintain a record of repeated operating problems and the actions taken to support future troubleshooting.

· Ensure all production activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and requirements.
