Peter Lucas Project Management invests in people, and community to provide gold standard project delivery. We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team.

The Project Manager will work with multi-disciplinary teams overseeing project staff and sub-contractors, providing guidance to ensure each project meets operational standards. This includes developing a detailed scope of work, budget and schedule, conducting risk management assessments and maintaining health, safety and environmental compliance.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans outlining scope, schedule, budget, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Review and provide oversight of engineering designs, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements, applicable standards, and client expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and vendors to coordinate activities and ensure efficient project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, costs, and materials to ensure work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain project reports, progress updates, cost reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for management and stakeholders.
  • Plan, coordinate, and allocate project resources, including personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, to support project objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle, developing and implementing mitigation and contingency strategies as required.
  • Conduct project close-outs, evaluations, and lessons-learned reviews to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhance the delivery of future projects.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the mining, construction, energy, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.
  • Proven experience managing projects from planning and design through execution, commissioning, and close-out.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and resource management.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, vendors, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of project risk management, quality control, and change management.
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment.
