The posting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for ensuring software applications, system enhancements, and technology solutions meet business requirements and quality standards before deployment. This role serves as a key partner throughout the solution delivery lifecycle, collaborating with business stakeholders, business analysts, project managers, developers, and support teams to identify risks, validate requirements, execute testing activities, and support successful implementations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Test Planning and Execution

  • Review business, functional, and technical requirements to ensure they are complete, clear, and testable prior to development.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and supporting testing documentation.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing on system enhancements, bug fixes, and new releases.
  • Conduct post-deployment validation and smoke testing to confirm successful releases.
  • Experience with automated testing.

Requirements and Quality Review

  • Identify gaps, ambiguities, inconsistencies, and quality risks within requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and project stakeholders to ensure acceptance criteria are measurable and testable.

Business Systems Testing

  • Validate changes and enhancements to enterprise business applications, including CRM, ERP, and related systems, verifying workflows, business rules, security permissions, integrations, and reporting functionality, and assessing impacts to upstream and downstream systems to ensure changes support business processes and operational needs.

Defect Management

  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution, working closely with developers and stakeholders to investigate root causes and verify corrective actions.
  • Retest resolved issues to confirm successful remediation prior to release, and clearly communicate testing results, risks, and recommendations.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support

  • Partner with business stakeholders to develop practical and realistic test scenarios, and coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing activities.
  • Assist users with test preparation, execution, issue reporting, and validation of solutions, while tracking testing progress and supporting business sign-off activities.

Data Validation and Reporting

  • Validate data accuracy across interfaces, integrations, reports, and business applications, and verify calculations, data transformations, and reporting outputs against business requirements.
  • Investigate and document discrepancies between expected and actual results.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, documentation standards, and quality practices, and contribute to the development and maintenance of testing procedures, templates, and best practices.
  • Assist in evaluating opportunities to leverage automation, where appropriate, to improve testing efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Performance metrics

  • The following metrics apply to this position.
  • People, Franchise Satisfaction, Revenue Growth, and EBITDA (see scorecard)
  • Test Execution Coverage: Complete planned test case execution against the approved test plan for each release cycle. [Target % to be confirmed with IT Project Manager]
  • Defect Escape Rate: Limit post-release (escaped) defects as a share of total defects identified per release. [Target % to be confirmed with IT Project Manager]
  • UAT Sign-Off Timeliness: Obtain business sign-off within an agreed number of business days of test readiness. [Target days/% to be confirmed with IT Project Manager]

Requirements

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or business systems testing.
  • A QA-related certification (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level) is a plus.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA best practices; ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills; excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams; adaptable and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience testing web-based and enterprise business applications, documenting defects, and writing test plans, cases, and scripts.
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, or other enterprise platforms, SQL for data validation, and API testing tools (e.g., Postman) preferred.

  • Occasional lifting or carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds may be required.

Work Environment:

  • This position operates in a standard office setting with moderate noise levels and controlled climate.
  • The office is equipped with typical lighting and equipment conducive to prolonged computer use.
  • The role involves sitting for extended periods with intermittent walking or standing.
  • Interaction with colleagues and clients occurs regularly through meetings, phone calls, and in-person communication.

Salary Structure: Base + 10% Bonus Payout Range
